Defensively we looked at times like the old Dantonio MSU teams. We’re going to grab and hold every play in man and dare you to flag them all. The officials tried to, but the end result was a net win for our guys. I love it.
Peak Bama Death Star corners played the same way. No problem with it at all. Hate when the refs call grabs in the open field on ND and don’t call a mauling of an ND WR without attempting to look for the ball in the end zone which they seem to do and (not do) multiple times per game.

Or an NIL deal at a place like South Carolina.
Probably the most likely outcome, tbh. I’m a Sneed fan but if he wants to get to the league he needs to play more than he has been with us the last two years. And Bowen and KVA are both back.

The whole left side new this wasn’t a run and played the 4th down perfectly

The announcer is awesome in this clip.

The Irish starting to read a bed time story to the Trojans. Haha

The biggest LR Bitch thing is, on that 4th & inches, their OL had enough push to get the 1st down.

I still think he sucks and I hate his face.
This is exactly what I was coming here to post.

His constant facial expression reminds me of Ron DeSantis. Its a face that looks like he's confused or taking a massive diabolical painful shit. Its a face of a guy who wakes up every day and suddenly realizes he has feet, and doesn't know what the fuck is going on about that.

Unless we find out that someone else has stepped in and is helping more, Ash deserves a lot of credit for how the D is playing. The D played much better than the score/points they gave up. As freeman talks about, they are playing with clarity and flying around. Other than the weird first drive of the game. I'm shocked they weren't better prepared for tempo and USC not substituting, but they got it fixed for series 2.

I get not wanting to play inexperienced players right out of the gates against top opponents, but hopefully this is a big lesson learned that players make plays and you need to get your best players out there. Tae and Golden are clearly better than what we put out the first 2 games. The fact USC didn't even try to exploit golden is telling of his ability when locked in and "doing his job".

Very interesting. In raw data, ND is 76th in yards surrendered per pass play and 18th in yards surrendered per run play. I appreciate adjusted advanced stats, but I don't how they arrived at ND having a good pass D and neutral run D.
it's normalization. USC, A&M, Arkansas, Miami are all top 25 type passing units. NC State and Boise pretty efficient passing as well. Basically 6/7 opponents are top 40 passing teams and Purdue isn't awful passing, either. They've held everybody except A&M under their pass/play average, some by as much as 2 yards/play.

On the other side, only Arkansas is really a very good rushing team.

I hope this all goes well enough that he gets the UAB job or something. A Parker to Troy type of exit that works for everyone.
Let me ask you, if the defense continues to play the way it has the last 4 weeks and routinely holds opponents about 20-25 points under their ppg averages and we go on a deep run, would you still want Ash gone?
