Get the numbers right and be able to have 2 people have same number. Just a small annoying thing like Toma and nix both having 9

Recruiting: They need to make midseason changes in the rankings and have some more 3 star sleepers and 5 star flops. I would also like to see one or two recruits every few years come in and be an 86-88 rating for the Adrian Petersons and Maurice Clarretts of the world.

Gameplay: They need to do away with the freakish athletes at linebacker. But I would also like to see a change with mid game rankings. Something like what Madden did this year. If a quarterback has been getting sacked all day he loses some accuracy and gets happy feet in the pocket.

Player Ratings: I already touched on the recruit rankings (5 star duds and 3 star diamonds), but I think that player rankings should change as the year goes on. If a running back just had back to back 30-35 carry games, he might lose some acceleration or speed for the next game. If a corner or safety has had a few picks lately, his awareness, hands, and coverage ratings jump up for the following games.

I love the game though. Play it from day one until the next one comes out.

1. 85 man roster. It's so simple there has to be a reason it hasn't happened yet. I think it's a limitation on memory space the systems can utilize.

2. Faster processing power (Xbox 360)/ better programming so it doesn't take 45 minutes to get through the 5 weeks of recruiting in the offseason. I literally go and do something else for the 15-20 minutes it takes to get through week 5 to signing day. This is kind of the same as #1.

3. An option to skip the booth review, penalty calls and the time between quarters. Either a button or a selection in the setting menu. There have also been a couple times that I score between the hashes without getting tackled, it gets reviewed and the ball ends up on the inch line. There are obviously still some bugs with it that need to get worked out before '13 comes out.

4. Cornerbacks/Safeties with eyes in the back of their head and ridiculous jumping linebackers need to be removed. It's ridiculous. One safety with his back turned should not be able to guard three receivers once the ball's in the air.

5. Speed differences need to be more apparent.

6. Make diving and jumping worth a crap for receivers. A 6-6 receiver should win the battle between a 5-9 corner on the fade route and diving shouldn't slow you down.

7. More penalties. Not like '11 where you got a facemask every single play but maybe once every 10 plays or so. Teams should average 5-10 penalties a game not a season.

8. Make ND 6 star prestige.

There are so many more.

The best single change they need to do is fire Ben Haumiller and the entire production crew.

Yep... if that dog was gonna hunt it would have by now... instead the franchise has gone from one of the best sports games out there five/six years ago to one of total stagnation that has now been lapped by MLB the Show, NBA 2K, Fifa and others...

if I weren't such a cfb guy I would just simply give up on this game.... but...

Yeah...it is a total disappointment to me...the lack of communication...gamebreaking glitches that took months to get fixed...12 was probably the last edition of NCAA I will buy from EA Sports...I'm converting to PC only for the small amount of gaming I will be doing.

At least it's doing better than Madden. Now THAT is a train wreck of a franchise.

My biggest gripe with the game is the lack of collegiate atmosphere. In this year's game there's no difference in announcer excitement or crowd volume whether you're up by 3 in the 4th quarter at home against the #1 team in the country or if you're beating Western Michigan 42-7 in the 3rd quarter. It all feels the same. If it's a big possession, I want the announcers and the crowd to make it seem like it. Game winning touchdowns don't feel like game winning touchdowns because right after you score it goes right to a panoramic view of the stadium with Nessler saying "and the final score is..."

The gameplay is solid (except for the super linebackers) and the graphics are incredible, but none of that matters if it doesnt feel like college football, and last year's game didn't.

As with what many have said:

85 man rosters. Absolutely needed. I hate not having enough depth, and not being able to redshirt the players I want.

Stadium renovation. Really would add a sense of realism to the overall dynasty mode.

Coaching carousel is a great idea, just needs improvements.

Super LBs and DBs need fixed. I can't stand watching a corner run a perfect comeback route. They break way to fast knowing where the ball is going.

Realistic penalties. There is no pass interference.

Make measurables matter. If a nose tackle is 6ft 3in and 320lbs he should not get pancaked by a 5'8 180lb HB. Also, as mentioned height and jumping should matter with WRs.

The recruiting logic at times is absolutely horrid. I think it's cool that teams change philosophy based on the coach but how can a team that goes from Pro-style to Option still recruit 3 5-star WRs per recruiting cycle? It just doesn't make sense.

Also, when you are later in the season, a team like ND (or any other team with high prestige) shouldn't have trouble finding a 3-star roster filler even though they are late to the game. I don't think this should work with every player but if I target a few 3 stars with nothing but MAC offers I would think ONE of those guys would take the ND offer in a heartbeat.

Also, recruits going to schools where they have no offer instead of going with a school that gives them an offer.

5 star recruits with 2 whole offers.

Recruiting needs much work IMHO.

For RTG, I like the idea of being an Iron Man athlete, why not give me that option for college?
Loading screens are too long, menu is sticky (doesn't move when you push the analog stick)
After a few years, coach should have the power to change things around the school (new stadium, new classrooms, statues, etc.)
Screen passes, read options, and play actions almost never work on Heisman mode
I want a QB to have some ****ing touch on medium passes. Why is it that every time I try to throw a medium pass the QB throws a bullet straight into the LBs facemask? And if I tap it, it just sails away.
It is unconscionable that EA still has not done anything with the crowd. They change almost nothing except the players, and they do a crappy job of that too.
There should be a conditioning rating. There is no way Tulane is at the same conditioning level as Oregon, yet when I run no-huddle, their defenders stay with me.
Also, even though you can see blatant facemask penalties, they call them maybe once every three games.
There are so many things wrong with the game, and they almost never change them, and when they do, they overdo it.

I have found a REALLY good slider set that has made the gameplay much more realistic for me on All-American w/out the Heisman cheating. They were created by a ND fan too!!!

S.O.S. Sliders (All-American) - Operation Sports Forums

I've read the thread on that site, and one thing I saw was that the user QB stuff was at 0. What does that do? Also, I saw that he put his game speed on slow, which I despise. It is impossible to run the ball if the game speed is on slow.

Alot of great ideas have been thrown around in this thread. Its unfortunate that EA won't ever come across this thread (and even if they did, they would't give two shits).

If I were to change anything?

Gameplay -

1: No more super linebackers.
2: Remove the cement feet quarterback and make option plays and the read offense actually work.
3: one defensive back cannot cover 3 wideouts and 30 yards of field, please fix this.
4: if I have one on one downfield; something needs to be fixed. Whether it be the cornerback and his amazing leaping skills or the qb being able to put a touch pass over top of a one on one coverage (hell, if he has bad accuracy then just make the throw an overthrow or a jump ball. But the corners leaping for the interception time after time is RIDICULOUS)
5: people shouldnt be afraid to throw the ball and go to a running offense, think about this.
6: running the hurry up shouldnt make the CPU defense better.

those are things off the top of my head, I bet I could write a novel of things to fix in the gameplay.

added bonuses -

1: the ability to upgrade your field and facilities in dynasty
2: the ability to edit uniforms
3: player rating increases and decreases throughout the year. (not just a +1 here and there for small things)
4: add offsite venue games that you can schedule (soldier field, cowboy stadium, etc.)
5: GET RID OF THE RECRUITING SPIN O WHEEL. This is the most unrealistic thing in recruiting and in this game.
6: stop adding prospects during offseason, put all prospects at the beginning.
7: recruiting shouldnt stop with a player until signing day. the ability to steal a recruit should be there. You could add Solid Commit, Soft Commit, Wavering Commit etc. and you as a recruiter can stay on this recruit until you know they are 100% solid (while other programs still chip away at him)
8: Not every top 10 player is a WR, RB or QB. randomize the recruits list better.
9: bring back the violations by players aspect. If a player misses class, does something bad off campus or whatever. You have the option to suspend them or whatnot. Failure to do anything can bring sanctions.
10: bring back the spring game. And add the high school all american games to get a closer look at recruits you may want.

another list I could write a novel on. :)

Im kind of a nerd when it comes to these games. I have been playing them for ever like alot of you. One thing that I think is big is that the players drop picks all the time. When i play with ND it seems like I cant get picks, It will hit blanton or gray in the hands and they will drop it. The other team will even drop it so the computer acnt even catch them. So I think thats another big thing that people dident say.

In the OD I'm in, this is the worst! I should have 15 picks on the season, but it's more like 3. It's crap.

Well, one thing that could use a fixing (but I regularly take advantage of lol) is that recruits categorized as Athletes are often overlooked by almost every school until the very end of the process. It makes it possible to get absolute studs with little competition.

This is very true. The scholarship offering and interest by schools is very unrealistic. A lot of players that they have in their Top 150 have very little interest and are being pursued by basically no body until the season is over.

I'm sure this has been mentioned in this thread somewhere else, but when I saw the topic I had to get in on this...

1) 85 Man rosters. I hate the over-signing in this game. When I try to evaluate space on my team, I go by amount of graduating seniors, as it is terribly easy to convince a star athlete to stay in school. Result's in having my 13-17 recruits all accounted for by week 6. There is still a huge amount of recruiting time left and you still get signing day announcements that cause you to over-sign.

2) Make the game more difficult, w/o making the A.I. cheat.
Once I've reeled off 3 consecutive N.C.'s it makes me no longer want to play. I've restarted dynasty mode multiple times simply because after a few recruiting cycles with a 5-6 star team, you end up with a super team. This is KINDA cool, but I like the threat of possibly losing a game. Nailbiters, etc.

3) More realistic gameday experience. I've seen this on multiple forums, BUT how about we are able to edit the gameday experience ourselves? How about make editing the stadium a more user friendly option...uploading band music, chants, etc. There is so much that can be done with the experience, and if EA doesn't want to get into it they can at least make it an option for the player to expand the atmosphere ourselves using the hard drive.

4) Spring game and spring practice. This is sorely missed from the last gen NCAA Football titles. This made the offseason fun. Now I often times simulate the entire 4 weeks of recruiting and signing day...and I'm redshirting players that could potentially impact the upcoming season even though I've never seen them make a football play.

The thing I want most out of this game is for it to feel like college football. In my opinion, college football is much better than the NFL because of the pageantry and atmosphere, but we don't get much of that in NCAA. Sure, the stadium entrances are nice, but they don't add anything to making the game feel like college football once you're at the point where you skip it every time. I want louder crowds, better cut-screens, alma maters, field storming***, the
works.

*** field storming is a special hope of mine. Nothing would be cooler than beating the #1 team in your dynasty and seeing the fans rush the field. That would be a thousand times better than seeing your QB walk around confusedly and then cutting to a panoramic shot of the stadium with no celebration.

I read somewhere that 85 man rosters destroy their memory or something like that.

That being said, you can just limit yourself from over signing.
I keep strict rules:
There must be
4 qb
4 hb
2 fb
6 wr
4 te
6 ot
6 g
2 c

3-4 defense

6 de
4 dt
6 olb
4 mlb
6 cb
3 fs
3 ss
1 k
1 p

The remaining spots are saved for any 5 star prospect that wants in.

-I only recruit players of need that have me in their top 3 to start the season. That way I don't load up on 4 and 5 stars at every position.
-I only recruit positions of need period, unless a 5 star has me in his top 3.
-You can't cut a player for a more talented Freshman!
-Only take kids that you have room for!
This makes you really consider who to offer because if they commit, they're on your team for 4-5 years.
-I do sometime have to recruit other positions to later convert for depth. (Power rb's for fb's, OT's for G's, and DT's for DE's)

It really keeps the talent level down, keeps the game competitive, and stops the cutting of players.

I hate that I HAVE to have a FB for ND. ND doesn't use one, so why should I have to have one?

Also, RTG end of game take about 5 minutes with every replay. This needs to be skippable.

85 man rosters and make it so you can't cut unless they get hurt or become academically ineligible.

Add those to things in more often. More career ending injuries and have players make off the field and classroom mistakes.

Better defensive playbooks. ND runs a 3-4 but doesn't have a single 4-3 play in the playbook?

All I got for now.

This is what I never understood, I remember awhile back the game developers explicitly stated that memory was not an issue and they used that as justification for keeping in those dumb arcade game modes they have
