All the research you need to do is look at the lions draft success the past two years. Nearly every drafted player had a key role on the team, even the later round guysI like it without doing any research.
Also love the fact that there was no smoke from the minor leagues of on3 and 247.
Schefty reporting it makes it bigger news IMO
I'll take things I would've never said ten years ago for a 1000 AlexAnyone you can get from this Lions organization — until proven otherwise — I assume is a great hire.

The last two hires, the insiders appear to have had zero inside information on it

Hi Merck, hope you’re well!Outside of a few, the majority of the most recognizable people covering ND, knew Seider was an option, as well as Martin. For a variety of reasons, the majority of them held off on sharing that information.
Does the full assistant coach Special Teams?Bowden, 2 GAs, and a full-assistant, are the sources for a lot of people that cover ND.
My guess is find the personnel/coaches that certain members on the beat will never talk poorly about. Loy is still talking up Bowden.Does the full assistant coach Special Teams?
Underlooked? I smell a ND2008 burner. 3.7? Color me skeptical.Hi Merck, hope you’re well!
What is the idea within the program on how work is divided? Martin oversees a Watson (or Watson-esque figure)? Martin is in charge of scouting and talent identification and Watson acquires the talent? What do the responsibilities look like? I’ve loved watching underlooked guys blossom in this regime, hope it continues with all the shuffling. Any insights?
Thanks!
