Why was our GM dressing up like a leprechaun? I mean I’ve done cocaine before but never dressed up like that

This is starting to make me nervous. The only thing that keeps me positive is that almost all of the beat has been talking like he is ours. Maybe what’s taking so long is a press announcement or him ironing out staff coming with him.

My opinion taking into account the most recent updates from II and Merck. Blanchard has been asking for full autonomy and control.

If he's good at his job, that's great. But, if he undermines the structure that Coach Freeman wants then it's never going to be worth it.

If he joins ND, cool, everyone seems excited by him and I look forward to seeing what he can do. If he doesn't join ND then I think Coach doesn't want someone disrupting what he's built and an ego that potentially sounds like it would be tough to keep in check.

Playing devils advocate, maybe he knows he has all the leverage and just playing his cards for the best deal. I mean, that’s what GMs do…negotiate deals.
Jfc people, trying to determine what kind of a person is because of some pause and wanting this or that.... if you think about it, you would only want someone willing to think of everything they want to come into a position and move an entire family from the south to midwest....do you fucking people hear yourselves about how stupid you sound.... this is a huge move for him and his family.... and the stupid ass ty Chan shit is fucking dumb... and continues.. it's like in high school someone thinks it's cool and then everyone does it...
He very well could be playing his cards for the best deal, but there comes a time when you have to shit or get off the pot. You can negotiate to the point where the other party (MF) says enough and moves on.

I think most on here fully understand this is a big move not just for him, but for his family as well, but you can't keep dragging it out. A week is more than enough time and given these things are usually done within a few days of a visit, this raises red flags whether you agree or not.

JMO, but I would never give the GM full autonomy, when it clearly has a direct impact on my (MF's) job and the ability to do it.

Update from the TT board/

Level says he believes that Blanchard turned down more money and years in South Bend to stay here.
He loves working for Joey as he lets him run the personnel side.
Also wanted to "finish job" here at TTU. --versus South Bend where they just made the Natty.

What’s their version of “finishing the job? 9 wins?

Turning down the task of winning a Natty because you want to win a Big 12 Championship is something

Sounds like if he has 100% control - which I stand by is ridiculous - taking 70, 80, 90 whatever % ND is offering isn’t in his cards.

Maybe he has a Manti, KVA moment left in him.

Good to hear that we "went all in". Can't do anything if a guy wants to stay in the minors.

Sounds like he'll be retiring from there.
