- Bowden was often overwhelmed, and dropped the ball on several occasions.

- Bowden’s approach wore very thin with many people in the program, as well as the administration.

- Bowden fumbled the pursuits of a few portal players.

In short:

Bowden has potential, and he does do well developing individual relationships, but he is not the Uber talented, irreplaceable GM many think him to be.

USC did Notre Dame a solid.

It sound like maybe his relationship with MF was causing him to get complacent. Sounds like this is a good move for everyone involved.
