Unfortunately I bet nothing will come out of this, however if ND tampered with Hartman in any way then oh-oh.

I haven't followed every blow by blow but aren't the lawsuits generally over covering up these sort of sexual problems? If BK just tosses all involved to the curb, who exactly is going to cry foul here?
The concern would be over the female suing.

Fire everyone including the female and offer her 100k in return for not suing and sign a non disclosure statement

Maybe she was in the instigator. Don’t be so sexist

That's correct. And BK did exactly what he had to do here. To me, it just shows that whatever steps the university has done to try and educate their players, staff, organizational support, etc., apparently hasn't been effective. This is a totally different situation but I could see lawyers trying to use this to prove the point that LSU is just not effective at dealing with sexual situations - legal or not.

Maybe BK to Denver has some legs? It’s not like LSUs lack of institutional control was an unknown issue before he took the payday.

What was the thing Ausberry was apparently trying to cover up few seasons back?

iswydt....

Unless BK is just ignorant, he will stay where he is at. He's still going to get those fat checks at LSU. And winning 10+ games a year and the opportunity every now and then to play for the SECCG and playoff guarantees him of that.

If she is consenting then how could she sue for anything?
The problem isn’t IF she’s consenting. The problem is even if she is consenting, she could craft a believable lie that even though she performed the act, she felt threatened and coerced.

The lawsuit starts and I bet they end up paying 100k in attorney fees anyhow. Plus you have to deal with a PR nightmare. Pay 100k to her even if you think she’s complicit to make the thing go away as quickly as possible.

I always find it interesting that the female victim hood is always assumed. Don’t get me wrong I’m not disagreeing with you just that the default always seems to be that right or wrong a woman has the ability to do this but not the men.

I wouldn't rule out minors being present/involved as why LSU is trying so hard to keep this under wraps.

It's an embarrassing look for everyone involved. I'd like to see any school employees (coaches, aids, women) involved fired and the players suspended even if all parties are consenting adults. Staff, players, and sex should never mix.

Is something like this a learned behavior?
I'd be traumatized if my daughter did this. I'm on the lower side of public displays of affection towards her mother.

And in his first year. Yikes. They thought ED was the problem. Maybe it's the school.

Or mayyyyyybe it’s……..(you guessed it)

Some people unintentionally have that negative aura. HE might be one of those people, based on history.

FWIW the actual rumors weren't that she was the one (or only one) engaged in the act with the players/staff. It's that she is the one who organized the party and brought in the women for the guys to have sex with. Not that it's any more appropriate, but I don't think it's fair to paint the picture that she was having a train run on her.

And her actual job is… director of on-campus recruiting?

Marcus Freeman being named head coach of ND is an all-timer. I can’t imagine his thoughts had he followed BK to LSU.

It may seem that way NOW, but it certainly hasn't been so for most of the past. Until Saban came along 20 years ago, LSU rarely had a ton of elite talent on their roster. They had to fight off Texas, Bama, Arkansas, and even Georgia and Ole Miss for most of that Louisiana talent... and often lost. Their brand has definitely grown over the past 20 years and that makes it easier, and there's a LOT of talent in that state. It might be easier than decades ago, but you've still got Saban, Kirby, Sark, and a lot of others trying to pull every one of those elite recruits from you. BK will have to work at recruiting.
Right but only old farts like us remember Mike Archer, Bill Arnsparger & ND alum Gerry DiNardo. It’s irrelevant b/c recruiters & most fans these days only know LSU as a national power.
