Some posters on the LSU board are starting to be like “hey uhh shouldn’t he have hired someone by now” and “is it at all concerning that literally no one came with him…”

Mickey Joseph (their 2nd best recruiter) was one of the two dudes he was expected to retain. He just jumped ship to his alma mater Nebraska.

Raymond (their best recruiter) is now rumored to be not solid.

What first started out as something every college coach would use as a big piece of negative recruiting (BK didn't believe he could win a championship at ND) is now amazingly turning the opposite direction. Not only will Freeman be able to sell his vision with recruits, but he can point to the fact that basically nobody followed BK to LSU because ND is special, family, and we believe we can & will win championships. That is why all these coaches stayed including coaches who had long histories with BK.(Eslton)

When the other coaches try to go negative with a recruit about BK leaving, it will simply be the perfect segue to flip the script and sell what makes ND different.

Gotta wonder if this assistant thing is going to hurt him big time at LSU. It took until 2017 for Kelly to put together a mostly All-Star cast that worked together well. He's not going to get 7 years at LSU to do that. He'll have more talent to work with, but if he can't develop it all the results may not be what they're looking for.

LSU boards are saying Elston was there today. Apparently a player told a poster that the “ND D line coach” was there.

It’s most definitely a mistaken identity because Elston was out recruiting.

Really I’m just interested to see who it actually was.

The dude is an Irish Catholic from the northeast who’s spent the majority of the last two decades in the upper Midwest and he’s attempting to sound like he’s been sucking the heads off of crawfish at the local parish boil since before Archie Manning was quarterbacking the Saints.
