Thank you, kind sir. I've been pretty busy. Like I posted earlier, I'm totally fine with this from all angles.

There's no way I would ever turn down that amount of money. That's generational wealth. Good for him.

I'm fine with burning a class in order to make a sound decision, so JS should take time to get the best candidate we can.

I'm happy if it's Freeman, ok if it's Fickell, apathetic if it's Campbell, and storming the Gug if it's Fitzgerald.

Someone pointed it out, but definitely should have said "You guys need to lighten up."

I think he chose his words carefully.

Business is business and Kelly had to do what he had to do. At the end of the day it is how he did it. I am ready to move on from him.

He was 0-2 vs Alabama during his ND career, let's see how he does vs Alabama yearly. Roll tide!!

I've been a Kelly supporter all along and it is a business and I don't hold him leaving against him, but it's how he left that raises questions about his integrity. He's sitting in a recruits house with an assistant giving his re3cruiting pitch knowing all along he was leaving. He didn't give Jack a heads up. He met with the team for a few minutes and left. LSU wasn't going to a bowl game. He could have negotiated with them to start after NSD and ND's bowl game.

I was onboard with the Kelly hire 110%. But after the NFL/USC stuff I couldn't have cared less for the man. And reading about the wreckage of programs in his wake, I do care less. Adios.

Just to be clear- did any of the assistants go with him and accept jobs at LSU yet? I've heard Quinn is solid LSU, but that's it? We need a staff tracker or something.

No one was on the plane with him, but I didn't expect them to be at this stage. Only confirmation is Balis is staying. If rumors and speculation are true, look for all or most of the staff to stay in place with the exception of Quinn.

No one yet. Quinn probably won't be coaching at either team next year.

Agreed. Rasputin to Brian Kelly: "Now you're just somebody that I used to know."

I think I have told this Kelly story before but I will share it again. My best mans dad was a long long time indiana high school basketball coach. after we graduated he took a job just south of indy. They had a two sport athlete (fb,bball) that Kelly was recruiting to play linebacker. Not a top of their board guy but would provide some quality depth at the position so not necessarily a primary recruit for Cincy but likely his best offer as Kelly was making his undefeated run.

Kelly calls the family one day invites them for an official visit. Family says we have a bball game that weekend that was some sort of rivalry game what not can we pick the next weekend. Kelly tells the kid if you want to commit you better be here friday for you official visit weekend this is your only opportunity.

Kid skips the bball game commits and Kelly is gone within the week.

Now generally I understand the whole if playing cfb is what you wanna do one basketball game is easy sacrifice im making. However, he knew he was out the door and still demanded the kid skip out on something important to him.

There were too many times when Kelly was the 2nd best head coach on the field during his time at ND and he never figured out the QB situation, one of THE positions the self-declared offensive genius should have gotten right at a place like ND.

Now he's in the SEC. Good luck to him I suppose. I got tired of people making excuses for his blunders.

I suppose my feelings are more mixed. I have been here, watching and listening to the Irish since the Holtz era, I appreciate the job BK has done while at Notre Dame. I think the job was good for him and the organization. I also listened to the speech he gave yesterday morning and think it spells volumes that he wanted to address them and Jack gave him the opportunity to do so.

In this day and age no one is ever going to leave for another school/job providing ideal circumstances for themselves and the school. I also remember all the times I disagreed with BK and his actions. Life is never all or nothing. I wish him well, but he is gone. Being golden is giving him his salute and then turning our attention to making the program move forward without him.

According to Ross Dellenger Jack Swarbick is skipping the Committee's expansion meeting today to meet with Rees and Freeman.

I suspect more and more stories will eventually leak out. Out of curiosity, what HS?

Everyone wanting to make CFB nothing more than NFLite.

I love how the talking heads make it sound like 12/16 teams in the playoffs will end all the need for fighting over spots. Sometimes I think they believe we are all idiots.

Oof..."I want to coach the best players, with the best resources, in the best conference." That stings a bit.

That was a little on the nose. "I'll get the best players here without really having to recruit, I'll have unlimited resources, and no one will complain about my SoS."

Hope you hit the ground running, Brian. Your runway is gonna be a lot shorter there than it was here.

Maybe it doesn't matter though. Even if he gets fired for cause at the end of year three, he'll walk with $81m, which is more than he made in 11 years in South Bend. He's playing with house money.

Stings a lot. I hope our players see that and remember that when we see LSU somewhere down the line.

Kelly coming on Dan Patrick right now.

Asked when he started looking and he tapped dance around the question. Asked about restrictions at ND, he again sidesteps the question and said both BD & LSU have unique distinctions. He's mentioned LSU facilities twice now. Asked when LSU reached out to his agent, he evaded the question. Asked if he was contacted by USC he evaded the question.

Asked about ND assistants guess what? He evaded the question. Said there were some moral issues about taking assistants. lol

Kelly has always shown that he knows the rules, he has weighed all pros and cons before making a decision. He also always preaches how you need to be accountable, how you can't do things that jeopardize the team. Then knowing the criteria for the CFB playoff committee includes key loss of players/coaches, chose to leave his team with two weeks before the final selection when his team was sitting at #6 with a strong possibility there'll be at least one team that loses.

I supported Kelly almost to a fault during his time here but it takes one match to burn a bridge.

FUCK HIM and his hypocritical ass.

I am praying a Freeman-led ND meets LSU in a playoff game sometime soon. "Leave Brian Kelly for me." What a baby back bitch Kelly turned out to be.

Freeman goes Lou Holtz on him, tells the team in the locker room before the game, “And leave Brian Kelly’s ass for me!” LFG

Kelly's offense was extremely predictable and was only as good as his Defensive Coordinators. We'll see how that flies in the SEC. If he decides to delegate everything and be CEO coach, maybe he'll have success. I don't expect LSU fans and alumni will be happy with him.

Listening to the Zorich pod cast... much different tone that what was shared here imo... other than Joe T, all of them are either openly happy or seems happy without saying it out loud that BK is gone. The whole room agreed with the idea that the team almost won despite Bk at times.... interesting.
