NFL future and millions gone. I feel for him, and this is probably what he has to do financially… but I find a hard time blaming the coaches or even the training staff… I highly doubt they’re trained to recognize the symptoms of a brain tumor

This. The surgery happens and the results weren’t expected. After months of frustrations, a med-mal attorney gets involved and sues everyone. LSU and Our Lady of the Lake have insurance. Maybe go the distance, if serious, or hope for a quick settlement. It’s the way these things work out.

En Dee Seattle, just curious on your trip for the LSU vs Ole Miss game? How’d you like it? Where’d you go? How were the tailgates, bars, restaurants? What’d you think of the campus, stadium and game? Anything you liked/disliked?

Reason for heading to LSU was a gift to my brother for his 40th to an SEC game. He chose LSU-Ole Miss for the atmosphere and it didn't disappoint.

Friday night, we drove to watch Deuce's high school game. He throws absolute lazers. One thing I noticed that he wasn't really part of the team. Only hung around his coach. I saw Deuce's family and his mom kind of stared me down because I was wearing an ND hat. We planned this trip while he was still a ND verbal.

Awesome trip to Death Valley. 100% of tailgates (probably hit 12 or so) offered us free food and drinks and were really welcoming to us as ND fans trying out Baton Rouge. Tried boudon balls, gator, catfish, soft shelled crab, and frog legs. 1st tailgate the kicker from the last national championship came over to us Seattle boys and let us try on his championship ring.

Locals are pretty lukewarm about BK and said "it really doesn't even bother me that he's a Northerner". They think he's a phony but are fairly happy with the results on the field. I asked if they would trade Kiffin for BK and they all thought Kiffin is a slimeball and would keep Kelly.

We were on the 50, 3 rows back behind the LSU bench. That place is louder than any other stadium I've ever been to. Pretty special to witness a night game there with an OT win by the home team. Will certainly do this again. Thanks for the recommendations Forkbeard.

Awesome. I’m glad you enjoyed the trip. TS has tamed some over the years, but every couple of years, when everything adds up (night game, rivalry or top ranked opponent, good weather), they place can’t be beat. I’ve been to a lot of great venues ….Florida, Alabama, Auburn, A&M, Texas, Washington, Penn State, Oregon, Notre Dame, Ohio State, West Virginia …. Nope, they don’t come close to TS on a big night game.

The BK sentiment has been that way from the get go. I remember a lot of Tiger fans were vocally pissed when he got the job. With the way football coaching is currently you playing out (Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Auburn)…you can’t be too up in arms with Kelly. It could be better, sure, but it could also be a lot worse.
We’ll see. I would take Kiffin over him, however.

Glad y’all had fun and were treated well.

My coworker is an LSU fan & hates BK but I think most LSU fans echo what en dee & Fork stated. I would love to go to a night game with no skin in the game so I could just enjoy the experience.

Always tried to catch LSU when they came to LR to play Hogs & it never disappointed. Had more fun staying at the tailgate on the golf course watching the game and enjoying the food/drink. The last one was when Petrino was coaching UofA and Ryan Mallett was QB. What a great finish. Once the game was decided, we were greeted by all the LSU tailgaters and offered their remaining food so it didn’t go to waste.

My good friend who is an Auburn fan recounted a hilarious story from his LSU experience. This particular night, the net behind one of the goalposts was down so if/when Auburn kicked a FG/XP, the LSU fans would retrieve the ball and keep tossing it up to the fans above them until it got to the top of the stadium. At that point, the final fan tossed the ball out of the stadium…LOL
