Let Mike Sanford run this team, I really think he is going to be a superstar and it would be awful to see him being successful somewhere else.

Brian Kelly has now lost 4 of the last 5 games.

No one.

I would fire Kelly as soon as he fired BVG, and then make Denbrock or Stanford, or Denbrock and Stanford interim coaches.

Then I would think about how bad I want to win.

If I had a way of getting it done, I would make it known.

If ND is going in the direction of providing more autonomy for the program from the University, now is the time to decide.

If the university just offered the program a little, and could make sure we kept the real crazies out, I think word would get out. And I think we would have guys like Hermann beating the door down.

Saban and Meyer both wanted to coach in South Bend, but they weren't okay with the restrictions.

Ironically enough I don't think standards need to be lowered to let criminals in, just certain other things need to be relaxed, like Stanford has done, say.

Fuck that. Win the right way.

Sanford would get eaten alive getting bumped from a coordinator position straight to HC. He needs experience running his own program before even being considered for the ND job.

Are we allowed to question whether BK is the right coach again?

Don't feel like getting verbally abused again though so just checking...

Here is my full "dark side" coaching staff:

HC: Briles

OC: Kiffin
OL: "Uncle" Klemm
WR: Trooper Taylor
RB: Todd McNair

DC: Jim Tressell
DL: Bo Davis
LB: Tosh Lupoi
DB: Kerry Coombs

We would have the #1 recruiting class every year. And free tats.

Id take Tressell every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

His soft offense that never has balance against good defenses is a big problem.

Yeah like when we gashed the top defense in the SEC for 31 points in a bowl game with a power running attack? That was so soft.

Look, criticism of BK is absolutely warranted but it should be focused on what is happening this season and looking forward. A lot of the blanket statements like this don't make sense given the facts.

Its not soft at all, most of what ND does is downhill, and about of third of that is with a power blocking scheme.

We run qb wrap, counter trey, qb power read, qb zone (rb/te lead blocker).

We run almost no outside zone runs.

Essentially, we're a smash mouth team.

I'm going to use Saban and Urban as my examples, but I do understand that they are the top of the mountain.

When you watch those guys on the sideline. They are intense and they receive the up most respect from players and coaches. I don't see that from Kelly. It just sort of 'bitches' and complains and is way to smug. He just looks like someone you'd want to fist fight instead of respect it just seems to me the entire dynamic is f'ed up. Everyone needs a complete redo.

I don't like Kelly, no clue who can replace him though. Notre Dame just doesn't seem like a 'fun' place to coach. Kelly needs to boot his buddies Longo and BVG. But I don't think he has it in him.

I don't care what they run. Games like last night where they become one dimensional against good defenses are way too common.

Did you take a shower after typing that one? Even I feel dirty seeing that one. No thanks.
Wouldn't take Kiffin either, no chance. Sanford would be just fine staying where he is.

That's one meaningless bowl game from almost two years ago that LSU probably wasn't even that motivated to play.

Games like that don't happen often unless they're playing a pushover like Nevada or one of the service academies.

I don't care how one-dimensional you think they are, as long as they keep putting up ~30+ points a game against good defenses.

So in your world... bowl games against the top defense in the SEC are "meaningless"... but the other games count, because you say so.

That's called trolling.

Bowl games are pretty meaningless when it comes to evaluation of play. Teams try new stuff and have more time to prepare. And I'm pretty sure LSU didn't give a shit what happened in that game. They care about winning the SEC/championships.

With a defense this bad they need to score 40+ against the best teams on the schedule to win.

No, that's bullshit. Sorry. When we had years of not winning bowls everyone harped on "how important it was to win on the biggest stage" and when we got blown out by Alabama everyone pointed to that as invalidating the body of work for the season. But then people want to turn around and say shredding the top defense in the SEC while a double digit underdog shouldn't count because "the game is meaningless"... that's indefensible.

Every year you hear that from SEC fans when they lose bowl games... that they "didn't care." But in years when they win bowl games, it's proof of their superiority. They do care. They did play hard.

Cherry picking stats is the clearest example of bias. You lose your right to critique the moment you start exhibiting that sampling bias, which is exactly what that troll is doing.
