I still believe if there ever is a move for replacement, it should be PJ.

Let’s revisit PJ at about 3:30 today. I am a fan of the way he builds culture and motivates. But Minnesota hasn’t played anyone good this year. Let’s see if they show up against a top 10 team. This is probably his biggest game ever.

So far so good for PJ and the boys.

INT and a 95 yard tuddie drive in the opening 5 min.

I've been VERY skeptical of Fleck over the past few years, only because of his youth. My position towards him grabbing the ore and rowing the boat at ND one day is changing more on the positive side. PSU defense is no joke, and Gophers have two TD's after half a quarter.

I'm not sure the ND offense this year would score more than 14 in a game vs PSU.

So, how would Fleck's 7 year deal work if he came to ND after this year (hypothetically, of course)? Say BK bolts to FSU or USC, does PJ Fleck have an out clause or something if the right schools come calling?

Minnesota cannot recruit at a level to play with PSU and yet they look just fine. Would be cool to see Notre Dame play above their recruiting ability sometime.

I believe he has a 10 million dollar buyout.

Idk if that's steep in terms of buyouts or not, or the likelihood that ND would pay it. Minnesota is looking great tho man, it's really hard to imagine BK being a better motivator of young men than PJ Fleck, period. He has a fire to him that those kids eat up.

There's no way in hell BK wins this game with Minnesota's roster. Very interested to see if Minnesota wins.

This is where I have been along with no quality win. Very impressed so far today.

Fleck has the Gophs lookin' great. They came ready to play from the opening whistle, focused and intense but also playing loose and free. You know the opposite of how BK teams open up in big games. Lot of game left to play but no one can say the UofM didn't come to play today.

Of course not. He doesn't have that fire that he used to, it's like he's gradually giving less fu*ks, yearly. I'm all but certain that Fleck would coach BK under the table.

The only reason you need: PJ Fleck doesn't just stand on the sideline with his arms crossed. He has a pulse, a fire that BK has lacked for years. You can't tell me the guy giving those pregame and halftime speeches is an inspiration to those kids. They're closer to falling asleep than they are being motivated.

BK has gone too deep into "CEO" mode.

To BKs defense, the media was pretty brutal on him in the past for the red face moments.

Just amazing because I was watching footage of Saban while at the gym (living in Birmingham, AL you cant escape it ever) and he was having a flipping come apart. Do you think anything was said? Do you think the media shamed Saban?

Just amazing how people are nowadays.

There's a fine line between berating and just letting a kid have it (BK), and being passionate and inspiring your players loudly (Fleck, Dabo).

That's just Saban demanding excellence.

I'll always question his Catholicism by not coming to Notre Dame. Go to daily Mass as much as you want bud
...you arent fooling anyone.

And just like that PJ Fleck has a bigger win under his belt than BK in his entire tenure here at ND. Too bad he's too young and may or may not have committed adultery at Western Michigan so he can never coach here.

Can anyone shed any light if PJ being blackballed is just a rumour by the fan base or if there is information out there to back this up?

Hes an unproven commodity with a short track record. Notre Dame was never gonna hire him in 2016. They could consider it now, I still dont think hes cut out for an elite football program. He may prove me wrong
