I also heard that they're deporting that 20 year old Saudi that they were "guarding" in the hospital....
What's the hurry?
Anything to this?

I think we all need to all take a step back from hypothesizing about the attack. Precedent does not preclude the possibility of unforeseen (obviously) terror tactics. Asymmetric warfare (as terrorists view and practice it) is adaptive.
If the media has reinforced (by way of error) any theme of late, it's that getting all the right information is of paramount importance.
There's a lot of people that are really good at what they do working around the clock to give all of us the answers to our questions, but they will never come as fast as we want them.
Patience and prayers seems to be the best course of action.
Edit: I think the axiom, "don't make decisions when your angry" could easily be extended to, "don't make judgements when we don't know all the facts".
I think 2 of the guys in the article Pat linked above may be the 2 guys they are looking for and have sentr out to law enforecement agencies etc (not to the public).
the one with the white hat (backwards per law enforcement) and the one with that blue jumpsuit.
reporters who have seen the pix are describing what in my view is those 2 to a tee (talked about the hat etc)
That poor kid. Just standing watching a race....gets blowed up.....some asshat racist tackles him for being foreign and holds him until police can take him.....goes to the hospital and is falsely labeled as a terrorist publicly across the internet in a story the whole world was watching. I mean, if I were him it would be very difficult for me not to hate America right now. I hope he can differentiate between the bad ones and the rest of us.

So the 20 year old kid was cleared?
Very early on. The only interest (extrapolation) is who he was seen talking with.
I know we covered this...But the more I read, the stranger it gets....
-According to terrorism expert Steve Emerson, 20-year-old Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, the Saudi national first suspected of being involved in Monday’s twin bomb attack, is being hastily deported. Alharbi was put under armed guard in hospital after the bombing, was visited by Saudi diplomat Azzam bin Abdel Karim, and later had his apartment raided by federal and state law enforcement agents.
“I just learned from my own sources that he is now going to be deported on national security grounds next Tuesday, which is very unusual,”

At the current moment, it's far fetched...but not implausible. To just dismiss anything like this during an investigation is naive. At least deserves a look.
CBS News this Morning identified the individual authorities are looking for as a white male, 6' to 6'2", wearing a gray hoodie, black backpack and a white hat on backwards. They also indicated that the FBI has triangulated what they believe to be this individual's cell phone.
They have his cell phone? That sounds promising

Isnt there a guy in some of the pictures that were in that article I posted (and numerous others), wearing a white hat and hoodie? Same guy??
I hear they actually have images/video of a guy dropping off a bag at the bomb site and then walking off....Huge.
It seems they know who they're looking for

Jesus. This is why I hate the media and why I hate so many of the people on the Internet. Let the FBI and other law enforcement do their jobs and shut up about "who did it." You (not just you, NYC, but the general "you") don't know dick about who did what. You're just dragging innocent people through the muck.
Everyone that posted the picture of these two high school track runners as possible terrorists should go to jail for a week. The NY Post editors should spend the rest of their miserable lives in jail for their performance this week.

CBS Morning News correspondent John Miller reports that they have the identity of the cell phone user, but do not know if that is indeed the person who put down the backpack.
He also reports that amateur sleuths on the Internet are making this difficult, because even some law enforcement agencies are using the numerous photographs out there on the Internet as possible leads.

Of course they blame the internet. But the same internet has helped them on many cases....
Yet CNN and NBC and Fox get a free pass?
Sorry, but unfortunately this is a part of this kind of thing. Following up on ANY and ALL leads is a MUST.
If none of those "kids" were harmed or abused, then I have no problem with authorities following up on leads or asking them a few questions. It's a part of the game.
And i'm betting that it wasn't all caused by the "internet". They probably had pics and list long before the internet got to it.
I'm not saying it's right to arrest an innocent person....but in this sitution, they need to investigate each lead.
Doctors can't save every patient...Officers don't get every arrest correct. As long as the people weren't hurt, I got no issue with this.
No one should get a pass, except law enforcement. The problem with the news personalities and these amateur sleuths is their politics and prejudice cloud the truth and hinder the pursuit of the actual offenders.
In his defense, he stated that as well. I believe he referenced the DC sniper case.
