maison_bleu just changed my title to "B!tch Made". But he's such a well-behaved troll!

Man, I really love how tolerant we are around here! So when our team doesn't live up to expectations on the field, at least I have that sense of superiority to cling to.

I'm not a mod, and I don't speak for anyone but myself, but I know I'm not alone here. I post here to discuss ND football with other fans.

Getting subtly trolled by our resident scUM fans degrades my enjoyment of this posting community, and tolerating it doesn't prove a damn thing.

We need to shorten the leash on rivals who post here considerably.

Damn WJ.

He just broke it off in you w/o the kindness of a reach around, and no one here backs you up mod-wise?

...

Sad day.

Guys, how many times do we have to remind you to simply report the posts or report what happens. Johnny, how is it a 'sad day' that the mods didn't back him up, when the mods probably had no clue as to what happened.

I can tell you this: It's midday - we all work. I wasn't near a computer for the past 3 hours. I wasn't going to even open this thread b/c I wanted to read about Stanley, but I figured what the heck. Even though you might not like him, the UM fan did nothing wrong on his posts. It's our fan that was (dumb?) enough to re-open this clusterf*ck of a thread up in the first place. If in fact he was the one who changed your sig, UNPROVOKED, and you can prove it, let me know and he's gone.

But seriously guys, and both of you are usually really good about this - just let us know. Nobody wants trolls around, but like Phork, I personally appreciate the view from the other side, as long as it's not trolling.

Hit me up Whiskey through PM and we'll get it handled.

Sorry guys I was the fan that was dumb enough to open this and cause this cluster****.

I will try an do better.

I probably share most of the blame here. I didn't report maison bleu because he didn't post anything that was patently offensive. It just bothers me when rival fans get away with posting aggressively around here. In my opinion, they're in enemy territory here, and should be extremely deferential if they want to continue posting, but I realize not everyone may feel that way.

Michigan is CERTAINLY one dimensional AND overrated. Lets start with the most obvious:

#1) They only have 1 player and that's Denard!
#2) They had 8.....that's right, 8 home games.
#3) LUCKILY beat us
#4) Lost both games on the road. 2 of ONLY 4 road games.
#5) Lost to a 7-5 Iowa team.
#6) A KILLER of a non conference schedule which includes Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan and the ever so powerful San Diego State Aztecs.

Yeah, they absolutely deserve to be in the Sugar Bowl..........Total Bull crap, which reminds me of something,

Whats the difference between Michigan and cheerios? Cheerios belong in a bowl. LOL

EAT IT Michigan. I hope you get thumped, but of course you are playing Va Tech which is pretty much in the same boat you are in. Both overrated.

I like NDOM much better when he's explaining why our opponents are overrated rather than us.

The sane michigan fans know their team is overrated. I have many friends who went to michigan, and most of them are ok. It's just their bandwagon fans that are absolutely awful.

Though I will definitely lose most of those friends if we lose to those ***********************s next year.

Well, to be fair Michigan only played one team that finished with a losing record. Compare that with Michigan State who is whining about not being invited to a BCS bowl (ignoring the fact that they didn't qualify), MSU played two teams that finished 3-9, two that finished 1-11, and one Division 2 team (or whatever they call DII now). ND played two 5-7 teams, one 4-8 team and one 2-10 team (and three 6-6 teams). Michigan is the only bowl-bound team that played 10 other bowl bound teams this season, and is one of only three bowl bound teams that beat 8 bowl bound teams (other two that did so are LSU and Ok State).

To get back to the title of the thread, Hoke was MAC Coach of the Year in 2008, MTW COTY in 2010, and B10 COTY in 2011. Nobody knows how he will do long term but he has a heck of a start, and unlike RR he has the entire athletic department supporting him. Their schedule next year is much tougher so I'd expect their record to be worse than this year even though their team should be better.

Good point. Honestly, I feel like many ND fans would be gushing about how difficult ND's schedule was if the shoe were on the other foot.

The 77 is just a number (or a tribute to OMM's age...what? )

As to whether it is Irish OG (original gangsta...or gangter) or Irish Hog...well, I'll let that remain unknown or up for grabs. You know- like Kim Kardashian's virginity, Donald Trump's hair, Barrack Obama's budget, Ricky Martin's orientation, or the ingredients of Twinkies.

Kardashian's virginity? What's the suspense? That was gone a long long time ago. Ricky Martin's orientation? There's a question about that? And Twinkies have Plutonium that's why they have a half life, not a shelf life.

Michigan overachieved this year. But I'll give them credit where it's due. I saw them at Northwestern and they could have laid down after Denard threw a couple picks in the 1st half but they played hard and there defense was really tough in the 2nd half.

With that said I see UM as next year's "overrated/overhyped" disappointment team. Especially if they give a good showing in the BCS game. I could see them being ranked in the top 10 preseason going in and I don't think they will be getting the lucky bounces in their favor two years in a row.

Everyone thinks Brady Hoke is the crap because Michigan has the most BS schedule in the NCAA. They are not that great looking when they aren't playing the Decatur, GA school of nail art.

And that is still including our specialist, who is arguably the best long snapper in the country, who counts as a 2:s:. Michigan does not have a specialist committed to count against their class rank.

Please limit the mentions of this!

I love being right. Their class might still close incredibly strong with Yuri Wright and Josh Garnett.... but at this point they are exactly what I said they were.... and that's a lot of "very good" players from the Midwest and lacking elite 5:s: talent from really anywhere else in the country.

Wait...what? Why? I hope it is not taken as anything negative about Scott. As I said, he is arguably the best long snapper in the country. If anything, my frustration is with the ranking services, who should give higher grades to players who are the best in the country at their position, even if they are specialists.

No, I'm just being a smart @ss. I have a longstanding problem with tying up 5 scholarships on kickers and snappers. Especially when there is a limit of 85 total and especially at Notre Dame where all initial scholarships are 4 year agreements (don't have a problem with that at all-- I love that about ND), but at other schools it's basically a year-to-year arrangement. I've never felt the need to have MULTIPLE guys on scholarship who ONLY go out and snap the football.

No one does until they screw up, it's a position where they can never have a bad snap. and it can decide a game, I'm all for using a 'ship on this robot of a snapper.

p.s. despite our disagreement in opinion still have much love for ya hog

I don't love anybody that disagrees with me! Maybe, though, that's why I've been married 6 times already.

Sidenote: I'm only 21 years old.
