Who the hell cares about announcer slips? I'd rather watch and enjoy the ballgame ... who needs itty-bit "perfection" about shallow things?
The only thing which separates good announcing from mediocre announcing is whether the "color analyst" can break down plays and strategies as they happen. Danielson was pretty good at that. The only thing for me that creates a bad announcer is some form of anti-team prejudice (a la Flutie or worse.) Danielson has had glimmers of that in his recent career, but not yesterday. The rest of these "intolerable" imperfections resemble objections what gossips chirp about. As to the game announcer (can't even remember his name), why focus on him instead of getting into the play of the game itself?
.... I just had a moment of revelation ... why the hell am I bothering to even type about this meaningless crap? Apologies.
