18-0 at home is a great record to build on
Jonathan Doerrer Kept us in the front seat with momentum.
We are an Elite team. Contrary to some of our best intellects.
We have so much upside and aggressiveness that we should be considered for a New Year 6.
Injuries have me worried, but we seem to have a great depth that isn't 5 years ago worrisome.
7th team that had an extra week to prepare and we dominated in all aspects.
Go IRISH! GREAT WIN!

Was pleased with the play of this football team minus the Oline. They left a lot on the field today. Starting to get annoying.

Ade was my player of the game. Looking forward to him and Daelin next year as our starting DE’s.
Thank God for Mike Elstoj building the depth he has because any other year and our dline would be getting owned with the injuries we have. This guy is the most under valued guy on our staff.

...and if ND's Elite, there are 3 Xtra-Elite and 3 Superdooper Elite teams.

I'll give ND a lot of credit for a strong, strong second half. In years past it would have been a dog fight all game long. Good win. Let's break the Palo Alto curse and win next week.

Also, ND is most certainly not elite. That doesn't mean they are a bad team, they are a good team. But elite? No way. I would say the elite teams this year are LSU, OSU, and Clemson. No, I did not include UGA or Bama.

ND is a very good team but they are not elite. If they were they would be excellent in every facet of the game. That rushing offense couldn’t compete in the MAC.

ND has taken care of business these past four games so they’ve got fans excited again but those were all games ND was favored to win comfortably.

ND is getting closer but Rome wasn’t built in a day.

We are not elite. Great win and after meeting Ric Fliar today and having him tell me we suck (other than that he was cool) I’m happy to see a win but beating a crap team like that...doesn’t make us elite. It is however what needed to happen against a team like that we beat their ass and we haven’t lost at home in two seasons. The landscape of college football could keep us out of the NY6 but we could easily have an 11 win season depending on our bowl matchup.

I refute the OSU claim. Good but no way elite.

As much as it pains me to say it we are Michigan. Good but will get schooled by OSU and lose to someone we shouldn’t. What’s with the OL procedure calls? The play calling left BC in that game for way too long. Was good to beat BC now go get Stanford. Greatness waits

What's everyone's thoughts on the "fan feed" simulcast? I liked it, needs some tweaking but sure as hell beats listening to flutie all game, and watching his 40 year old hail mary highlight for the billionth time.

I wasn’t a huge fan. I like the idea of using he radio voices for the commentary, but I could’ve Gina without seeing the booth and random fans the entire time.

That blonde was a smoke show though so that was nice.

Pretty hard to believe this team hasn't been able to move up the rankings the last 3 weeks.

It was fun as a change of pace but not sure I'd want to watch that way every week, or, TBH, in a game with. more tension. Agree the crowd shots were superfluous, and left the screen showing the game action too small. The radio guys were very good, and I'd read a 2,000-word feature story on their spotter dude in the green shirt.

Also it highlighted just how much dead time there is in a college football broadcast. Amazed how much we saw of the crew in the studio just shooting the shit.

As for the game, our defense continues to impress. And the depth! Book was solid, again. Still no running game but Claypool and Kmet are effectively invincible. Glad none of the injuries appear too serious.

I like this year's team a lot for the guts they've shown in the wake of the Michigan debacle and several key injuries. But agree they're squarely in the second tier, not the first.

Go get Stanford and hope the bowl breaks fall our way.

Never understand comments like this after a game like today. Everyone talked about how great AJ Dillon is yet Tony Jones had "ever so slightly" better stats today. As a team we ran for 252 yards at 5.7/attempt. Even taking out Lenzy's run (which should count since it is part of our running game) we had 191 yards at 4.44/attempt. Seems like a pretty good run game today to me.

The Bad
-OL
-Running game

The Good
-Everything but the OL and Running game
-The running game when our QBs and WRs are running

Questions
-Who is calling O plays
-Does Kyle have any brothers?
-Is Circa OK?

Our QBs and WR accounted for 169 of our 252 yards.

The running game flat out sucks and that's only been exacerbated by the Kraemer and Hainsey injuries. What a disappointing year for the OL.

That's my only real complaint. Again, solid performances from Book (what a difference confidence makes) and Claypool. Some of the best performances of the season for Kmet and Finke. Another explosive Lenzy TD.

Great defensive effort overall. What a terrific game for Ade Ogundeji.

A big day from special teams, with some solid returns, more strong plays from my guy Bo Bauer, and a great game from Jon Doerer, who has been very good this year.

Solid win.

AJ Dillon wasn't great today. BC had that one drive where they were able to run on us but that's it.

I'm not ragging on TJ. He does everything he can. But our No. 1, 3 and 4 runners today were not running backs (Book, Lenzy, Phil). Running backs, combined, ran for 82 yards on 25 carries today. Our theoretical #1 RB, Armstrong, didn't touch the ball today. Jahmir Smith, who many think is the best pure RB on the team, had three carries for zero yards.

Yes, QBs are part of the running game, and Book has run quite well (and smartly) the last few weeks. And we've busted some big plays on plays like Lenzy's today. But our traditional running game, handing off to RBs, is just not great this year. It's OK. If Book keeps throwing (and running) like he has been, we can still move the ball. And our defense is great. But we're not winning games on the ground right now (which is weird because handing off to RBs was a big part of how we beat Virginia and USC earlier this season).

My only hope is that we NEVER recruit St. Ignatius again. Eichenberg is less than savory at LT. Recruit St. Eds. EOM.
