We go 12-0, but are number 3 in the BCS. After beating Florida in the Sugar Bowl 38-10, we go to #1 in the rankings over Texas and causes the ultimate firestorm of BCS hate

The thread said BOLD predictions Steve. That's like saying BGIF will snap at Jason or IrishAlum97 will get into a heated political debate that will rage for months and have about 2000 posts in one thread said:
Yeah!!! IA97 reference!!! (That's Change you can Believe In, accepting your posts now).

I've called my shot. 12-0. Beat USC by 10 or more. Closest game of the year is Stanford.
BCS title game is a 2-TD win vs. Bourbon Liar. Clausen a top-5 Heisman finalist.

It begins today,

I am gun shy because I don't like CW's offense, but I like CW. I say 7 wins and CW keeps his job and is a contender next season. I really can't see how ND would ever fire CW. He is an ND son. If ND were to ever consider firing him, they should consider fire themselves first.

And big pups become lil dogs. That kinda stuff.

Hunk Anderson, Hugh Devore, Terry Brennan, and Frank Leahy were all football monogram winning ND sons.
  • Hunk Anderson was an All-American Guard under Rockne. Fired. Anderson was told by a newspaper reporter that Layden was hired as ND HC before ND told him he was "no longer needed".
  • Hugh Devore, co-captain under Layden. Interim Head Coach - Twice. See ya'
  • Terry Brennan lettered for 4 yrs, 3 yr starter at HB. Dumped for Kuharich
  • Frank Leahy played 3 years for Rockne and 4th for Anderson. Leahy had the greatest run in ND history, 6 undefeated seasons, 5 National Championships, 39 game unbeaten streak. In 1954 he asked the University for a medical leave of absence. It was denied.
ND Career Winning %
  • Anderson .630
  • Leahy .855
  • Devore .500
  • Brennan .640
  • Weis .580
They were all loyal ND sons. They all got to "hit the bricks".

Yeah, well, situations were different. I still don't like his offense, but I believe he is a winner.

I think ND gonna kick some booty this year.

bold predictions

Well said NeuteredDoomer, I'm right there with your stuff on Charlie and the team, my prediction is that they are going to develope the idea that its their play and results that describes their legacy at Notre Dame, and this year they will not "Blink", like Mike Tyson said "everyone's got a plan 'till they get hit in the mouth"

So who gets the other 1806 yards and 18 TDs??

Rudolph!

The way he blocked last year there's no point in keeping him in for pass "protection".

Let the DE slide by him intently focused on Jimmy's blind side while Kyle catches the delayed pass under the coverage for 20 yards a catch shattering MacAfee's record for TE receptions.

I think Rudolph threw one good block, when Allen scored against Purdue.

And no, Rudolph will not have all of those. He'll split the rest with Duval Kamara. Rudolph will have 810 yards and 7 TDs. Kamara will have 996 (?) yards and 11 TDs.

1) Goodman becomes #3 receiver by the end of the year
2) Allen/Tate combine for 5 TD returns this year
3) Sergio Brown gets more unsportsmanlike conducts than tackles, remains the man though
4) A loss to Notre Dame costs Corp his starting QB spot as Barkley takes over
5) Notre Dame leads 21-0 mid-way through the 1st quarter against Nevada
6) Tyler Stockton slowly earns more PT and comes in for passing situations by the end of the year

and Ethan Johnson is moved back to DE for 2010

Notre Dame drops 56 on Michigan. Clausen tears Michigan a new one.

Michigan has another 3-9 season. DickRod is fired.

Here is the Boldest prediction of all. 12-0 and a NC game against Oklahoma. ND will beat USC by a last second FG and easily run the rest of the table. ND will slaughter UM in their own home and have DickRod wishing he was back in WV. BC & MSU are again made ND's bitches.
NDOM becomes the first OD ever on marijuana. BGIF & jason become best of pals, even flying out midway between each other to share a beer, 2 straws of course.
Armando Allen turns in to the back we have been waiting for rushing for 1132 yards and 11 TDs. The venerable duo of Floyd and Tate rack up receiving records at a break neck pace and subsequently Clausen becomes the front runner for the Heisman.

Hows that for bold?

Well, still a chance for NDOM and BGIF & jason (if jason buys two tickets, I'll spring for the beer and straws).

I think they asked for this year's predictions not next years but I like it though.
