Carr had probably 3 bad throws, but I was still really encouraged by his game because I think he makes those moving forward and it is great to see he actually has a good running game. To me it is another step forward for him.
Price TD was amazing.
Leonard Moore is bloody good.
4 picks to the DBs.
They have sorted it out out the back.
Traore and KVA were all over the place.

It was a good day.
5 picks..that roughing the passer on Onye was pure garbage

Refs sucked.

RBs awesome.

Carr was fine. Bound to happen where he just is fine.

OL keeps getting better.

Defense looks more aggressive, fast, and confident.

Buy timeshares and wooden spoons.

Haha PSU.

Don’t wet the bed.

Gotta shout out Tae!

That kid is good right now and getting better by the minute.
I’m surprised they didn’t call pass interference on his pick. The WR fell down, but the way the were throwing flags, I couldn’t believe there wasn’t one on the field.

Boise had allowed 3 sacks coming in, they gave up 4 and probably should have been a few more

At the end of the day it was a good win, just hope we can keep it up. I hope the boys are focused on next week & I especially from a completely personal level hope the boys are ready and improved for two weeks from today.

Roughing the passer penalties are so harsh that they should be able to be reviewed. The offense more often than not gets a huge advantage out of what is a disastrous mistake that is on them. It's the olines job to protect the QB, not the referees. In this instance they got a massive advantage out of the fact the inside of their Oline got destroyed.

I have never cared about commentating, but today they bugged the shit out of me. I’m glad others felt the same way. Absolutely horrendous. They don’t even know players’ names. I‘d rather listen to a ND Manning Cast then those two buffoons ever again.
Officiating took home MVP honors with the most stats and camera time.

I muted it in the first quarter. Wife thinks I'm nuts. She's not wrong but that's besides the point.

Think we should all be ecstatic with that defensive performance. We finally created HAVOC, and made Madsen (who’s generally a solid QB) super uncomfortable.

Offense also was very good IMO, just obviously left 14 on the board. CJ missed a few that he hasn’t all year and still was very good. Lot to be excited about.
Yes, the first game this year that it felt and looked like the last two years’ defense.

The defense was fast, physical, active, aggressive and effective. Best pass rush seen all season long, and the secondary was outstanding in coverage all game long. They both made and finished plays. If they truly have things figured out in terms of coverage responsibilities with the back end, then watch out. KVA, Sneed, Leonard Moore and Tae Johnson were excellent performers today. Chris Ass became Chris Pass today grade wise. Need to see more of this before he rises from the Ashes.

Offensively, this was a very uneven performance. Love was his normal relentless self, and Price is absolutely electric in the open field. CJ Carr was a bit inconsistent, and missed more throws today than he did in his previous four games combined. The miss on fourth down to Pauling just can't happen, and he underthrew a number of balls as well. It's good that it happened in a game where ND handled the opposition, and I have no doubt that he will grind hard to fix those misses. Faison is a marvel with his quickness in a short area, and Malachi Fields is a grown man.

On to NC State.

As encouraging as the results getting better, is the defense just looks so much better. They're playing down hill and are fast and aggressive. They're swarming to the ball, finishing tackles, etc. Not elite yet, but gelling and good enough.

Were they filming an Intro to Refereeing course video? It was...bizarre

Offensive Holding? Check
Defensive Holding? Check
Defensive Pass Interference? Check
Offensive Pass Interference? Check
Illegal procedure? Check
False start? Check
Illegal substitution? Check
Offsides? Check
Roughing the passer? Check
Personal foul? Check

Don't forget illegal snap infraction at the beginning of the game on the 3 yard line. It cost us a fumble and easy score

Didn't watch the game, was at an Oktoberfest in Fulton Market, so this is based on the play-by-play and results, alone. That said, ND won comfortably despite the opening drive stalling and a somewhat pedestrian performance from the offense and questionable officiating. There are 5 teams we should jump in the rankings this week based solely on results without accounting for quality wins/losses. If the playoff committee is objectively assessing results, we will be fine if we continue with the path we have been on the past 3 games.

Got to love Freeman in the press conference making Horka look like a fool for using the word cathartic. That is not a football coach word, not at all. What a nerdy use of a word.

That was so painful to watch
I was expecting this b/c BSU wasn’t gonna be wide-eyed. That said, ND let them hang around which gives any team hope (see Marshall, NIU, Stanford). Glad to see ND stuck w/ the plan & the D stepped up. We all know CJ will lay some eggs as a rookie. Hopefully this is as bad as it gets. If it gets worse (i.e., bad turnovers), let‘s hope it’s against a more inferior opponent than BSU.
