Change how you react to people starting post game threads or posting legitimate beefs with the school and program. Not so easy, is it?
I'm not sure how I got this reputation for crying about someone else starting post game threads, because that has never happened. One time, I did take someone to task when they started a post game thread that was nothing more than (this is not a direct quote):
1. The Defense sucks.
2. The Offense sucks.
3. Darrin Walls is a piece of sh!t and should never see the field again.
4. Charlie Weis is a fat ass and we will be lucky if he doesn't eat the team before our game next week. He sucks, too!
My reaction was to tell them that, if they were going to try to rip off my original idea of the post game observations thread, then they could at least put some effort into it. That criticism (which was WELL deserved) spawned a bunch of "why the fvck do you have to start the post game thread each week?" responses. I never cried about it, I just pointed out that I had started the original Post Game Observations thread (back in about 2005-2006), and that it had become something of a tradition, and that the tradition has just kind of fallen to me. So I'm not sure where the other stuff is coming from, but I don't recall ever throwing a fit about it.
I never have an issue with people posting legitimate beefs with the school or the program, and there are probably dozens of people on this board who will tell you that I agreed with their beefs, or positive repped them for laying their beef out in a logical manner. It's when people whine and cry about stuff that that's NOT legitimate (like expecting to know EXACTLY what is going on in the Athletic Department, exactly WHEN it is known) that I tend to get dismissive.
Serious question, what happens if you just do this with all the stuff that gets you riled up? You are one of the worst offenders of having to 'correct' every opinion and I've seen you warned by mods on numerous occasions to chill out. Take some of your own advice if you're going to dispense wisdom.
There is a BIG difference between me debating someone else's opinion in a thread, and wooly starting an entire thread for the sole purpose of trying to rally people around ostracizing one individual on the board.
