I can never look at him the same after this fake interview and subsequent vacation.
Heard from a lot of people now that he is coming back and deal is all but done... just working out finer points. I have heard a single person say he's about to sign with the Eagles... then again I know zero people affiliated with the Eagle.
I personally won't put any stock in it until something is signed and announced. Seen way too many times a "done deal" go up in smoke.

& w/ that, literally dozens of message-boarders cease their furious typing to wipe the sweat from furrowed brows. #GoIrish #whatjusthappened

Notre Dame announced it. I have a hard time believe they would announce something like that unless the deal was done.
agree, but i'd love some inside color on just wtf went down. a magic timeline w/b awesome.

That was sarcasm.

Now the question is if he does this again next year?
Glad this looks over. Don't feel confident this won't happen again next year or the year after but for now we have our coach!
no worries, but I will still look at him a bit differently. i understand the business side of the equation, however the handling of this particular one hurt my corn.
I think it was a lot of smoke and mirrors. I'm interested to see if what the specifics of the new deal are (i.e. raises for assistants and some program changes). If it was only a raise for himself, then I'd agree it was handled poorly (although I can't blame him for wanting more money).
