Have you considered the possibility that BK wants to coach in the NFL and is actively seeking employment by an NFL team right now?

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but we have no idea, despite what that website says, what Kelly's contract is and entails in terms of total compensation. I recall Weis at some point shooting down what was in the press about his pay, saying it was incorrect.

Where exactly is the distrust in BK coming from? That he interviewed with an NFL team? That he did it before the EE's arrived?

Sounds like AA was ready for UF since the UA game and perhaps BK knew it so it doesn't matter now.

ND Rivals was suggesting that BK is using this as not only leverage for himself but for his assistants. That's huge. Gives guys like Alford, Diaco, Martin, etc stronger job security and a less likely reason to bolt.

BK has a plan. Let the plan play out before we start stoning the man's character. I was definitely a guilty party last night but I was wrong.

I have and I see very little evidence for it.

• The two reporters who broke this rumor are both represented by Trace Armstrong, the same guy who reps Kelly. That's not likely a coincidence;
• Kelly has zero NFL experience, even as an assistant. That makes him a tremendously risky hire for any pro team; and
• ND is a destination job. Thus, if you can succeed in South Bend, it's one of the few places where long-term job security is available. These rumors are about creating leverage so Kelly and his assistants get that security (which is notably absent in the NFL).

I suspect that Swarbrick is involved as well.

That's what Grahambo was saying. He implied Anzalone was ready to jump, so all this courting is inconsequential to what school he planned on ending up with.

Well, if you've read what some of the other posters on here have said then you would know that AA most likely was prepared to leave during the UA game. I'm sure BK had a whiff or two of what is going on and is prepared. I strongly doubt the wavering of AA made BK think twice about securing lucrative and long term deals for his staff.

I figured it out. Kelly is looking for the RKG. He is seeing who is truly commited to ND. He knows bigger, faster, better recruits are knocking on the door. He doesn't want to drop any existing recruits. He is weeding them out. Not sure if I should have used italics?
