It's never his fault. Remember, the key difference in a Democrat administration is that he is not the cause of bad things, rather, bad things happen to him. Biden was surprised by the unexpected inflation/supply chain crisis/Afghanistan/Omnicron/economic challenges/ etc.

And when things go wrong, the story is that Republicans are pouncing, not that the Dem made a mistake.

Last time I checked, the oil companies (as with all “for profit” companies) are not charity organizations. They are set up to provide a product and in selling their product, turn a profit. This is what the free market system is based upon. Maybe the federal government can start supplying subsidized fuel to the citizens by raising taxes, that would be a novel idea. Instead of President Biden calling out the oil companies to cut their profits, he could get the federal government to cut their inefficient spending and waste. I think I like that idea better.

I believe in free market. I am against price controls. I am also against incorrect attribution, and the data says that, like inflation, this isn't solely the Biden admin's fault.

This is a supply/demand dynamic. Want to lower prices? Increase supply (open up the pipeline, increase fracking) or lower demand (less travel). Supply is more immediately elastic than demand, so you start there to initially relieve economic pressures. Does the admin refuse to address supply? Then yes, they are at least partially to blame.

I get tired of bipartisan bickering. Complex dynamics require nuance. Placing all blame on one thing or another is childish thinking. As is the case in most politics, politicians aren't trying to solve the problem, they are trying deflect blame to make themselves look good.

6 T in partisan spending, and all I got was expensive gas, groceries, and stuck in my house because I'm not doubling my mortgage rates. Biden and Dems passed the spending or approved by pen almost exclusively on a partisan basis. Biden owns this.
