In response to Joe’s reading of the teleprompter written by someone else… YOU CANT FIGHT ANYONE IF YOU ARE RUNNING AWAY!!

Did you also notice that he said that he was given a list of reporters that he was 'instructed' to call upon?

This man can't even call on his own reporters to ask questions from?!?!

Read any of the below, and let me know if those costs were worth it. Aren't we supposed to not like someone like Liz Cheney because she's a warhawk? Or was that all lip service because she was a big meanie to dear leader?

https://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/costs/human

https://apnews.com/article/middle-east-business-afghanistan-43d8f53b35e80ec18c130cd683e1a38f

The articles were hit on another comment and I don’t like Liz Cheney on a lot of things, but if you find yourself trying to be purely in line or opposed to a politician then you aren’t thinking at all.

Per a reporter asking Joe a question, The military deaths were the first since February 2020.

That press conference did absolutely nothing to convince me Biden has control of the issue or has a clear plan other than to be out by the 31st. Once again he started passing the buck never saying I own this.

We need to complete this pull out, but we need to do it in a manner that ensures we get everyone out that wants to leave even if it means extending the date and more troops to ensure it happens safely.

Honestly, there's really no point for me to post my thoughts on this. It doesn't make sense for me to post about my displeasure with Biden when so many on here would never in a million years think about posting a criticism about their lord and savior.

Why would I provide a criticism of someone for people who would never seriously post criticisms previously? "Mean tweets", that's the only thing they disagreed with? Talk about kissing the ring. Not interested in getting the football pulled away. Some real howlers I've seen in here like negotiating with the Taliban etc. when if they spent a second looking further at it they would be a little sheepish before admonishing the new guy. Oops. https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...iban-timeline/

Many here need a space to voice their opinions on this, watching this unfold I'm extremely apathetic, what did people expect when the crime bill guy and who was there when Barry bombed Yemen into the ground got elected? Did we expect everyone to hold hands and sing kumbaya? Christ.

I think my silence on this speaks to my stance. If you need refence to where I stand, I honestly think it aligns pretty closely with RDU (on this subject).

There’s plenty of blame to go around for the past 20 years.I criticized Trump plenty of times, but I asked about Biden’s plan to be out at the end of the month and the fiasco that has followed.

I criticized Trump plenty of times, but I asked specifically about Biden’s plan to be out at the end of the month and the fiasco that has followed.

I'm not going to clog up the thread with a Trump back and forth, it's not worth it. I've never claimed to support Biden, so I'm not going to write out something to just get gas lit over a guy who I think should have never been in charge in the first place.

Just seeing Drayer type out maybe the most brain dead thing I've seen a while, going BACK to the middle east for another war. Why would I engage on this topic? I know I've done it in the past multiple times but I just can't keep going on doing this. I'm not carrying a torch for Joe Fucking Biden.

The most brain dead thing I’ve seen in a long time is the Biden exit strategy. I supported our presence there and I’ll support it when we go back again after this blows up in our face.

Relax, not looking to hassle you. never said you supported Biden and I don’t want to discuss Trump either. This isn’t about Trump. I noticed you had been MIA for a while, but wanted to get your opinion since it’s a Demo in the WH.

This man can't even call on his own reporters to ask questions from?!?!

"Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list here. The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O'Donnell from NBC," Biden kicked off the press conference.

Among the others called from the list were Reuters correspondent Trevor Hunnicutt and Associated Press reporter Aamer Madhani, who was ridiculed for his softball question that invoked the memory of the president's son, Beau Biden.

Biden then appeared to go off-script by calling on NPR correspondent Franco Ordoñez, RealClearNews reporter Philip Wegmann and he even sparred with Fox News' Peter Doocy.

However, the press conference was overshadowed by the "instructed" remark, which became a viral moment.

"What is going on?" BlazeTV host Jason Whitlock reacted.

"Who the hell is in charge here?" Washington Examiner commentator Tiana Lowe asked.

"Amazing. And everyone goes along with this," The Spectator contributor Stephen Miller wrote, adding, "He is not in charge."

"He said instructed. Jesus Christ," Washington Examiner Magazine managing editor Jay Caruso tweeted.

"Biden just said ‘I was instructed to call on’ this reporter! Who instructed him to call on the reporter? Who's really in charge? Are you kidding me?" Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., exclaimed.

A picture is worth a 1,000 words.

Not that it really matters in the grand scheme of things that are currently going on....but I'm fairly certain that almost every recent president has been given a list of reporters to call on during these type of press conferences. Trump certainly did it, and my memory is a little hazy but I am pretty sure Obama did as well. I am not sure if either of them just flat out came out and said it, and I agree it is not a great look by Biden. However, that is the reality of how these news events go.

Not really a huge item to blow out of proportions, but of course the conservative political news echo chambers will not care about context.

Nothing screams command and control or you're in charge more than telling us your handlers are guiding you on who to call on. It certainly raises questions in terms of whether or not they are coordinated or scripted. I don't think it was as concerning with the prior Presidents because we didn't question their ability to field those questions. It tacks on to the image of a President who is not in control and further questions his ability to lead. Trump could go back and forth with reports for an hour. Obama too. Biden has turned his back on questions this week and this saying this scripted crap aloud further questions his ability to lead and that is why is being discussed.

You're correct about the list. The reason it's getting attention is his comment "I was instructed who to call on".

The pic illustrates Biden's frustration with trying to stay on a structured script. A reporter who wasn't settling for the canned answers kept pressing him and he got flustered.

I'm not sure how true that is. I'm sure they have a list of the reporters names and affiliations but to be told who to call on first(and second and third?)just reeks of someone who has to be micromanaged and protected. It also makes you think about scripted questions

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but even then, he doesn't understand that you don't read the 'reporters to ask first' portion of his notes. It makes you wonder if Joe Biden, while giving a sworn statement would actually say 'I, state your name' at the beginning.

It just kind of adds to the old and senile narrative. Like when he tells the reporter 'that was five days ago'. No, it was two and it's a big deal however many days it was.

I understand it's Afghanistan. However, we put ourselves in a corner and were forced to listen (not negotiate) to the Taliban. We've been at the mercy of the Taliban for the last few weeks. We didn't get our people out before the military left. If we knew the Taliban would take back the country, why didn't we give this people a path out before? Why didn't we rush this once the Taliban advance became obvious? Why the hell did we not hold onto Bagram for geographic purposes if not strategic purposes? We should have held Bagram anyways. Why did we do this in the Afghan fighting season? Why are we sharing intel with the Taliban? How could we have not loaded the Taliban with chunks of cash, planes, choppers, firearms, and more? All of it is a mess and it's not just because it is Afghanistan.

The State Department talking about the representative and diverse Taliban and then these go to the airport but your safety is not ensured message is an international embarrassment. I have zero faith in the Biden Admin to do anything right.

I hear you, mostly agree with you. The execution of this "plan" (for lack of a better word) makes Larry, Moe and Curly look like Jack Welch. Exit was never going to be easy but this is an epic failure on so many levels it stinks to me like a lot more than just Joe saying "get out now".

To be fair though, the bolded has been on the table for a few decades. Even the 81M (LOLOLOLOL) voters knew it. Obama himself said "never underestimate Joe's ability to F things up." So I can't say I never agreed with Obama on anything.

For our friends on the Left, why did you vote for Biden? Serious question. Aside from the "Anybody but Trump" thing, why did you actually vote for him and want him as president? What part of his legislative or executive history, his agenda, his views, his personality, what he said, his campaign, etc. convinced you that he was the one? I know exactly why I vote for who I vote for, but I'm genuinely curious as to what convinced you to vote for Joe and why.

Not one person could answer? Very telling.

the answer was already given, "Anybody but Trump"

Let's poll some of the "81 million" Biden voters and give them the options below...

1. Trump or Chairman XI from China

2. Trump or Maduro from Venezuela

3. Trump or anyone from the Middle East minus Israel (good luck to the LGBTQ crowd here)

I am glad we're out.

Let Afghan boys and girls do what Americans did:

Step ONE

Throw out the
Brits, beat up Cornwallis, dump tea in the harbor.

Step Two

When Domestic Terrorism first came to the US in the firing on Fort Sumter, crush the Confederate Rebels.

Lincon that softie, should have declared martial law in the confederacy.. We wouldn't have the problems we have today..

Most of us are glad to be out. Getting out isn't the issue. HOW we got out - a general epic CF of poor planning - is the issue. It would be hard to come up with a much worse way of doing it than what Joe did.

Has Biden Derangement Syndrome been officially recognized?.

Nobody is being deranged nor irrational in their criticism of Biden's behavior or policies. He's been a non-stop disaster since taking office. Not a bit of it is surprising to most of us, given his track record. Why don't you explain to us IN LUCID, CLEAR ENGLISH why you voted for him and think he's doing a good job. We'll wait.

.

There is no such thing as Biden Derangement. Not on any large scale anyway. There will probably never be anything resembling TDS.

There aRe still large numbers of people who believe there are pee tapes, and a host of other weird Russia things. Btw.... anyone who believes those things should be beat with a baseball bat and made fun of.

Doing what I've been doing since 2007 on here...throwing my two cents in on college football, politics, current events, and the hideous yellow pants ND football currently has. Ya know what I don't do? Post 9 paragraph diatribes full of dribble, many of which are completely irrelevant to the topic discussed.
