I can't find a single mention of this on CNN, NYT, MSNBC, WSJ, WAPO, Apple News.

As Clay Travis said:
Whatever your politics are, if you’re in media and you don’t think new revelations about the most severe censorship of a newspaper’s story in big tech history isn’t a story worthy of covering you aren’t a journalist you’re a propagandist.

I briefly saw it on CNN yesterday evening. But I had to scroll down pretty far.

I didn't forget:

It's the same psyop as "safe and effective"

Elon will be releasing more files today. I don't care if the guilty parties are democrat, republican, or independent, any government officials involved in suppressing free speech and facts should be prosecuted for treason.

They are public servants meant to represent their constituents, but invariably, many of them are corrupt and self serving.

Trump-Russia collusion WAS American disinformation but still published.

I can't tell if it is bias or apathy but the Twitter story falling flat is pretty damn telling of how lost our country is.
Tribalist Tribaling. People dont care when their side does something wrong. Also I don’t think Elon is proving anything the people don’t already know. Which makes this whole thing more sad.

Yeah, it didn't really reveal anything. A campaign wanting a negative story squashed isn't exactly a hot take. Once you start your big scoop with "both sides were doing it" and end with no evidence of government involvement what do you actually have left?

Russia collusion tainting a four year presidential term (and reelection campaign) while the ultimate smoking gun is squashed by literally every mainstream media and social media outlet = "Both sides do it"? Trump is the third side, i.e. non-establishment and has been proven right from the start when "they tapped Trump Tower".

Binary thinking is what has our country in this mess and empowering both sides of the uniparty by fooling everyone in to an "us vs them" remedial mindset.

Social media is such a powerful tool. Confirmation bias is incredibly strong, data on what people consume is incredible. Traditional media could only have one story that printed to all but benefited from limited alternative sources. Social media can have the same story presented 1000 different ways to get the desired response/programing based on all of the individual tendencies already known.

Disagree. There's a difference between squashing a negative story and suppressing information that would've impacted an election. There was a large poll that showed 16% of people would've voted against Biden if they knew about the Hunter laptop story. 16%, that's significant!

Remember: all of the major news outlets were reporting that the story was Russian disinformation. So, the administration knew about it, they actively suppressed the truth, and they actively engaged with MSM to lie to the American public. Don't forget the 50 retired intelligence experts that also propagated the lies.

And Govt. collusion with big tech to suppress news and truth. And it happened with all the COVID stuff too. That is expressly illegal and a violation of freedom of speech. I don't care if it's left, middle, or right - this is wrong and Twitter was wrong to let it happen. We can't let big tech set this precedence because soon enough they will be manipulating facts that you care more about; and then when it negatively impacts you, you won't view it as "squashing a negative story" or "everyone is doing it so its okay".

So, yeah, I disagree with you here. You are downplaying something way more significant than "wanting a negative story squashed."

What is the difference between squashing and suppressing? You are adding the emphasis based on a pretty comical poll after the fact about a laptop that still hasn't produced a smoking gun (of crack lol!), which is fine I reckon but doesn't make it more persuasive in my opinion. What percentage would vote different based on tax returns or WHATEVER information people in power knowingly try to suppress (or squash!)? Let's make a poll and find out!

There was no administration at the time, they were a campaign. Not all news outlet were reporting it the same way, other news outlets covered it extensively as a scandal from the beginning. Which is how news has been since news began, tech or no tech.

I think you are combining issues you are passionate about to make it more than what it looks like it is, which is fine too.

What is the difference between squashing and suppressing?

Twitter banned NYPost for reporting on the laptop. There's hiding and actively suppressing. The difference is obvious.

And this isn't just about Twitter. It's about government collusion with MSM to actively lie to the public across multiple channels to achieve an end result that they think is best for you. But their job is to represent their constituents. You are saying you don't have a problem with this?

What is more important to you? Being a Democrat or being a US citizen?

Why is the poll comical?
And sure - let's see the data and make a decision on the data. Data isn't comical - it's information. By nature, Information informs decisions.

And again - look at the forest through the trees. Twitter is in the spotlight here because it's the only organization that has exposed government collusion. But that collusion is quite obvious across all MSM.

It's scary that you are comfortable with illegal Government collusion because it benefits your political alignment.

There was no administration at the time, they were a campaign.

False. Biden was a politician at the time, and he was running for President. He had an Administration, as evidenced by Twitter emails that explicitly say, "The Biden Admin contacted us..."

Not all news outlet were reporting it the same way, other news outlets covered it extensively as a scandal from the beginning.

Okay, bring receipts. Show me 5 examples of MSM extensively reporting this as a scandal.

Here's a few examples I'll share with you:

I think you are combining issues you are passionate about to make it more than what it looks like it is, which is fine too.

Passionate about preventing Government collusion and PSYOPS? Yes, I am.
Passionate about maintaining Government's positions as representatives and not authoritarian overlords? Yes, I am.

Passionate about partisan talking points? Not at all. You can see my post history here. I'm independent, and I've said multiple times that anyone in Government manipulating media for power should be prosecuted. I don't care what their last name or affiliation is.

hey @Armyirish47 - i'm interested in your take on this information. Go ahead and read the full thread.

I would like your explanation as to why former FBI General Counsel, former FBI Deputy Counsel for Intelligence Operations, he of Steele Dossier and Alfa-Server fame, being silently (unbeknownst to Elon and new management) in charge of releasing the Twitter Files is not a big deal.

Do you assert that this is run of the mill, bog standard information squashing?

Twitter, a private company did that. We were talking about the reporting from Twitter, which admitted there was no government involvement in the very reporting we are discussing. Not the government.

I'm not affiliated with any political party, and I proudly serve this country, so can your corny ass takes about citizenship or whatever.

Why is the poll comical?

The poll is comical because of the implied result to say nothing of the absurdly leading nature of the question that was asked to get the result a particular group was searching for on a particular question.

Twitter is in the spotlight here because again that is the conversation we were having. It's scary that you can make such incredible leaps of logic without banging your head on the ceiling as you type. How can you have government collusion without a government body, which again the very reporting stated.

False. Biden was a politician at the time, and he was running for President. He had an Administration, as evidenced by Twitter emails that explicitly say, "The Biden Admin contacted us..."

Okay, bring receipts. Show me 5 examples of MSM extensively reporting this as a scandal.

A politician is not a government official. Running for office and being in office are two wildly different things. I'm not sure how much more clear that can be. Someone running for office that isn't currently in office is just a citizen (yay citizens!). Calling it an administration and further implying that makes it a governmental body is just plain weird.

Okay, bring receipts. Show me 5 examples of MSM extensively reporting this as a scandal.

Here's a few examples I'll share with you:

Bring receipts for something I didn't say? Lol, I said other news outlets, like say the New York Post and the little mom and pop news shop Fox News. The news was out there, different outlets chose to pursue it in various ways, which again is how news is, will be, and has always been done. Now quick, show me 5 examples of internet videos that won't try to sell me supplements!

All jokeys aside, way to be passionate about the role of government. My original post was about why it seems the news story about Twitter, by Twitter, for Twitter was sort of a yawnfest and I'm not sure how we got to PSYOPS but here we are, gotta love the internet. All the best brother.

Wasn't there a reference to the Trump admin also intervening? Maybe that's what is getting everyone hot and bothered? Haven't had a chance to catch up on HeadlineUsa to get a solid read on it all.

I love that Trump is a defacto Russian asset who sold US nuclear secrets to the Kremlin as a 150% gospel truth in the eyes of a large percentage of our populace even after evidence to the contrary fully debunks this load of raw BS. Not just debunks but implicates a massive, IMO treasonous, movement to outright lie to undermine a duly elected president. Those 50 intellegence officials should be hung - I'm not even exaggerating. Every damn one of them knew it was bullshit and should be held to a standard - not even a higher standard, just a minimal notch above garden slug standard. Instead - they will all get richer for defending the leviathan.

But 10% to the big guy? OHHH NO - you Alex Jones tinfoil hat loons are such sore losers.....

This would really hit today if DOJ didn’t find more classified documents in a storage unit on the same day. 😏

Apparently James Baker was suppressing information on the Hunter laptop story coming out of Twitter this past weekend. Musk canned him when he found out.

Serious question: When Viktor Bout goes back to dealing arms to some very bad people - which he almost certainly will do - causing countless deaths, how will the Biden administration justify loosing him on the world again?

I don’t know…..trading a person who sold arms to terrorists and other customers who could have used them to kill or injure Americans for a person who plays WNBA basketball and illegally possessed a CBD product seems like a great swap to me. Those are some impressive negotiating skills, good thing the Biden Admin isn’t handling GM duties for the Lakers……..
