It's wierd when you turn on the TV news during holidays, there is always some strange newscaster you've never seen before.

I woke up this morning and the news was showing something about hangovers. It is crazy what people do to get rid of hangovers. One person said he eats two apple pies from McDonalds and some coffee. Another person said they make themself a bloody mary. Crazy!

Bloody Mary "Hair of the dog", it works.

My prefered cure for a hangover is a cheese burger and fries.

Yum, yum – just what the doctor ordered! I prefer to make mine with Clamato. The lycopene in the tomato juice is a good thing as is the hint of clam. Dose it up with horseradish, Tobasco, Worcestershire Sauce, a bit of black pepper and a dash of celery salt if you don't have real celery in the fridge. And plenty of vodka "to take the edge off."

Amounts of horseradish, Tobasco and Worcestershire vary according to taste. Start light and work your way up. After a half dozen or so you should have it just right.

By then, of course, you probably won't have functioning taste buds and you won't give a sh¡t.

I've always found drinking a fifth of Maker's Mark the morning after a bender helps me tremendously.

NY, you just scarred that poor boy's life. lmao

Anyways, I've always handled myself pretty well in the alcohol department. I had to drive last night and clearly I was good to go. Genetics from my father, I believe. (Or hell, maybe my whole family. They all get tanked regularly. lol)

The best hangover cure is 2 eggs over medium, American fries with onions, and links, with exactly 7 drops of tabasco in the egg yolks, and whole wheat toast. And a big glass of cherry limeade and 2 excedrin migraine.

Now, the perfect bloody Mary is Daily's bloody Mary mix, celery salt, worsteshire sauce, rum, splash of clause pickle juice, Tabasco, and two jalapeno stuffed olives and a big dill pickle.

Im thinking of a different kind of "Mary" as the greatest hangover cure EVER! And it actually decreases the amount of brain damage alcohol causes...per a doctor on MANswers (is that a credible source?)

Manswers is always credible. It's half of what I know.

An alternative to the Bloody Mary is the Bloody Bull. It's a matter of adding beef broth into the mix. Most recipes call for lemon or lime juice (or both). I had the good fortune of meeting a bartender at a small bar in the French Quarter of New Orleans. His version left out the citrus juices and replaced it with Guinness. Tasty, tasty, tasty. A marvelous eye opener in the Crescent City – it set the stage for the rest of the day ... and night.

It's been two weeks since I posted here. I found this thread on the 6 page of my list of subscribed threads. This is pathetic and unacceptable on my behalf.

Now some people may hate me when they first read this, but hear me out.

I may be excited to see this offseason going the way it is.

I told you you would hate me, but here is why:

  • Realism sinks in. With a bowl loss and some big recruiting battles lost, over-optimism is out the window. Now, pessimism sinks in for some (which blows), but for everyone who was too optimistic can step back a notch and set more realistic goals for the coming season.
  • The men in the locker room. While we all wallow in remorse, the guys in the locker room and on the field are working their butts off. We don't expect much, but they do. And boy do the Irish love surprising people whether it be good or bad.
  • When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Adversity, as if there hasn't been enough already, and what you do despite adversity, is what defines you. Nobody said Kelly taking over would be the start of never ending BCS bowls and top 5 recruiting classes. Year 3 or 4 is where your promises for glory aren't the only thing you need to recruit. You have to show up, and I think Kelly and the staff know this. Let's see everything be put into action despite a rough end to the year and be better for it.

Kinda just wanted to hear myself talk. bahahahaha GO IRISH!

It had a picture Of Osama in it. No description or anything, just the picture of Osama.

It said that Brian Kelly was stepping down to be replaced by Les Miles. Feel better?

I want to make an apology to anyone I offended with my bringing up the possibility that Don Bosco kept Yuri on the team and in school until after the season before expelling him so he could play football. I only know the school as a very highly regarded institution and did not mean to slander it or any of the staff members or people connected to the school. I just wanted to throw out the idea that they waited until now for a reason. I hoped to avoid any conflict by making it clear that I had no facts or evidence and that my idea was just that - an idea - and not an accusation.
