Apologies if he doesn't freak me out because he had big games against Tennessee and Mississippi State.

Lee is on a different planet then Cooper.

You are underestimating Cooper he can play. I think it will be easier for ND to score on Bama than Georgia. I also think it will be harder for ND to stop Bama than Georgia. I know that sounds crazy but I am just looking at match ups.

(A) I think Lee is the best player in the country. I thought that before the Irish played USC.

(B) My dad can beat up your dad.

Our true freshman CB held Lee to 5 caches, 70-something yards and no TDs. I ain't scurred.

Bama has Amari Cooper.

Yes, one guy. That's different than having to account for TWO guys on the same play.

McCarron also has a weaker arm than Wittek and can't stretch the field as far.

McCarron also has a weaker arm than Wittek and can't stretch the field quite as far.

So do you think Diaco will put 8 in the box?

Exactly. There's no team in the country that has two playmakers like Lee and Woods that they can line up. I understand that Alabama and UGA have some playmakers but excuse me if I just don't fear them like I fear Lee and Woods. Lee is a flat out STUD

Also that Wittek kid is for real. He has a cannon. McCarron is a glorified game manager. Murray's pretty good but he's streaky and tends to melt in the big games. UGA and Alabama's primary playmakers on offense are their running back tandems. "Gurshall" as they are so annoyingly called for UGA and Yeldon and Lacy on Alabama.

Probably not we haven't had to all year to stop the run.

all respect to Stanford, but we have not had to face a rushing attack like Bama or Georgia, but i agree that we dont load the box, but i wouldnt be surprised to see more guys up on run support than in most of out other games, stopping the run will be critical against either of these teams.

Kenny Bell out for season also. Makes Cooper a lot less "daunting" if you will.

Right, when I have seen ND play they have used 7 guys in the box. I think you will need 8 guys in the box to stop UGA and BAMA from running the football.

Agree on Bama. Disagree on Georgia. Georgia doesn't go downhill like Bama does and they have a better passing attack because their QB is good. I think Mccarron is insanely overrated and I'd love to see him pass on us even if it is with one less safety.

I guess we just disagree I think AJ is better than Aaron

Lets not get cocky guys, Cooper has the potential to light up any secondary... And both Bama and UGANDA have QBs who are used to facing good front sevens... It'll take NDs best effort to beat either... And our boys will welcome that challenge

Still 3 votes within the SEC that are hating on ND. Saban, Richt, and...Spurrier?

I see Miles pulling that before Richt... Unless Richt is doing just so he can tell his team he thinks they are the best in the country and look them in the eye while doing it.

For pure hater reasons... Miles and Spurrier.

Richt is definitely voting UGA #1. There's no question about that. It's just the 2nd #1 vote for Bama that is the mystery.

So funny how up in arms SEC fans are about ND... Looking around ESPN, NCAA and other message boards they are throwing conniptions over Taylor goal line call ( which was the right call btw, so sick of hearing otherwise like its just established).., Pitt" beating the hell out of us", and man, they really group think... Every board has a " every team in the top ten would crush them" ... Funny since Stanford is in the top ten... Lol

If we are so weak why do they care so much, it's an easy title for them??? Unless........

Would be great to expose the SEC as a good/not Great! conference-I imagine in 43 days we will all see the truth.

Re: how to stop the run, Diaco will figure that out.

I'd guess that ND would come out with a similar game plan to Oklahoma. Focus primarily on shutting down the run and making McCarron beat us with short passes the whole game.

It's a toss up as to who I'd rather play. On D, GA has better athletes to matchup with our skill guys but they also give up significantly more rushing yards than Bama at the same time. Offensively, Murray > McCarron and Lacy > GA Freshman.

Guess I'm leaning towards Georgia with their inferior run offense, run d, and coaching.

Actually, Nix and HeisManti each count for 1.5 players, so yeah, they'll put 8 in the box and drop 4. Problem solved.

Everyone seems to forget (non Irish fans) that the Stanford OT call would have tied the game. Pending kick. Not won it. If SEC fan cant tell that the Irish is a mirror image of SEC style then I don't know what to say. Stanford also has that style. They have a legit shot to win the Pac 12. Look at UCLA. They play a similar style and they are in the championship game. Certain teams are catching up and the SEC doesn't like it.

I like us matched up with Bama more than Georgia I think. Georgia has a more diverse aerial attack and an almost as good a run game with the two freshman RBs.

Alabama is a much more disciplined, well-coached defense, but I think Georgia has more star power. John Jenkins DT, Jarvis Jones OLB, and a really stout secondary. I would be worried about a Georgia team that has 6 weeks to prepare for us.

Star players tend to make a huge impact in Nation Championship games.
