I was watching ESPN BCS...So I'm thinking, everyone is pandering for Florida to be in the #2 spot and play ND. And if we win the NCG as I expect, once the pre-season rankings come out for next year, where would we start? I'd assume that 'Bama and Florida would be 1 and 2...

Sad thing is I actually liked Pollack when he played for Ga. I thought he was a gamer and was kinda sad when injury shortened his career. Now I can't stand him.

Try living in Tennessee. SEC team that sucks and fired their coach. Chants SEC like it is a team. Another team that usually sucks now talking a little. I do have some respect for Vandy fan. They just talk hoops when football sucks.

Yeah, Pollack just said our running game would get eaten alive by Bama. What a douche!

Yeah. As if we havent faced a defense as fierce as Alabama's or Georgia's...wait...we have...all week in practice for the last 4 months. Comeon dude, would we march up and down the field on Bama and Georgia? No. Would we be punting after 3 and outs all game? No. We'll move the chains, and create mismatches all day. Neither of those defenses like mobile QB's. Someone will have to stay home and keep an eye on Mr. Golson which means well have a mismatch running around the field somewhere.

We also have 43 days to develop a plan, get better, and work on our offense. We havent peaked yet, not even close. We've expanded the playbook every week, and have gotten better every week. Saban/Richt aren't gameplanning for a finished product...they will have to think ahead and anticipate. Our offense will be much better in 43 days than it was last night, and will be throwing much more looks at our opponent. This break is HUGE for a developing offense because of how young we are at certain positions, we aren't a "what you see is what you get" like Alabama or Georgia. We know what they're going to do. Saban will be going back to Cinci tape in anticipation of what Kelly may add to his playbook. Saban will beable to adjust accoordingly during the game, Richt probably won't be able to adjust as efficiently.

In terms of talent, it's a wash. I like ND against either. In terms of coaching, I'd rather play Richt all day because of Sabans in-game adjustments.

I am interested in what Diaco is going to do. ND's defense is good but I cant see ND stopping the run with two safeties deep against Bama or Georgia

Stanford's rush defense is comparable, if not better, than 'Bama's. We still rushed for 150 yards at 3.4 yards per carry against the Cardinal. Not great, but good enough against an elite defense.

That was Herbie's response almost verbatim.

Richt is not a "big game" coach. We'd have a clear coaching advantage over UGA whereas Saban is a wizard. I just feel like we match up better with 'Bama otherwise...don't ask me why I just like our match up with Alabama slightly more than UGA.
