Idk if anyone caught Jesse "The Bachelor" Palmer rant on ND. The one thing I agreed that if Bama, Oregon and ND go undefeated should ND leap over Oregon and I said no. But he continues talking about their inconsistent offense and how they wont go anywhere with Golson, and that they need Rees in as the starter.

What are his qualifications again?

Palmer has been saying Rees should be the starter since the Purdue win. It's the only thing he discusses when he is forced to talk ND.

SEC could easily eat itself alive, LSU is not nearly as dominant as advertised, their offense sucks. For that matter, I wonder if SEC defense just looks good because their offenses are generally below average.

Tennessee and A&M are decent teams that should upset someone at some point.

Tenn - lost bad to Florida, Georgia 51-44, MSU 41-31, Bama and South Carolina the next two weeks offer last chance for a signature win this season.

A&M - gave Florida all they wanted in 17-20 loss, I bet they beat LSU next week, still have MSU and Bama. I have a hard time seeing them lose all three and beating LSU could provide the best monkey wrench of the bunch.

Next four weeks for Bama -@Tenn, MSU, @LSU, A&M. That is a tough stretch but also pathetic that those may be the best four teams they play this year. It will be interesting to see how many points they put up on LSU and if A&M can score on them much.

Florida has SC and UGA next two weeks, tough to win both. If they do, smooth sailing to FSU game that I expect them to roll on. South Carolina may be the last good shot at Florida losing a game until the SEC championship.

I think ND beats KSU and Florida is head-to-head match-ups. If USC wins out until the ND game and ND beats Oklahoma, the USC/ND game will decide who goes into the national championship. As crazy high as I am right now on ND, I don't think they could beat Alabama. So, that being the case, I'm fine with one of the other BCS games this year putting the Irish against a weaker team and setting a positive tone for next season.

Bama is good, they also haven't played anyone. Next four weeks will show us if they are indistructible or not. I suspect (like us) their offense is beatable but their defense is not. When have they had to show up four games in a row? Here's hoping Bama can lay at least one egg in the next four weeks!

I go with this sentiment...right up until you give Kelly that much time to prepare. I don't think Bama's offense is all that potent. I believe Kelly can manufacture points. I think if our D does what it does...we actually stack up against Bama in a NC game as favorably as anyone...does that mean we win...mmm, I don't know...is it a nail biter...I think so.

That would certainly open things up. Would love to see this happen. That said, they absolutely manhandled Michigan -- ours was a much more even matchup. Given the looks of our only like matchup, I'd say they are really, really good. I hope you are right. We'll see over the next 4 weeks.

I think the season will work itself out. If the Irish win out they should get a bid. On a another topic, the next time the D is in a goal line stand, make sure the guy with the ball is planted in the ground.

ND vs Alabama would probably end up 17-10 either way IMO

Interesting video... I didn't think we would play in the NC if Oregon and the SEC champ were undefeated but this makes it sound possible. I think alot depends on how we look vs USC and OK.

Don't think so cause WV will drop like a rock and that win won't look that good. Been wrong before

Can't imagine the Irish drop any spots as LSU w a loss was right behind them. Don't see any moves up the rankings w KSU taking WV behind the woodshed the way they did. Staying at 5 is my guess. However, a win next week, hmmm.

ND will stay at 5, Oregon State is the only team that could jump us...but there's no way they jump LSU at this point so the math doesn't add up and they just can't pass us.

Human polls will most likely drop us, but not the computers. Some voters really are not fans of the Irish (if you hadn't heard already)

Don't be surprised if ksu jumps the ducks. Ksu is a really good college team.

KState jumps Oregon as expected.

Frankly I don't see KState losing. Bama and Florida will knock one or the other out and Oregon has a tough road ahead with more than likely 2 vs USC. We'll be #3, undefeated and left out. If we win out that is.

Idk, the cynic in me says that we dint belong in thus top 5 until we beat OU. I mean seriously, from what we've seen could we actually beat Oregon, Florida, LSU, Bama, or KSU?

Well, I may take some flack, but I'm of the opinion that UF should jump 'Bama until the Tide prove they belong there.

I completely agree. The BCS standings don't mean much at this point. Hopefully they'll play each other in the SEC championship and decide it on the field.
