No, Irish Illustrated is not wrong. There is only one player that collected 6 awards in one year. And there is only one two time coach of the year.

How so? Ward also collected 6.

Am I missing something here? Are different awards counted adn some not? (just asking)

The Sullivan Award is not a football only award. It is an amateur athlete award that figure skaters can win. I get what you are saying though.

Three were the Harley, Sullivan, and Touchdown Club of Columbus. I think with Manti, they are talking best player at position or in all of football. (The one time a defensive player may have an advantage.)

He has to be a stone cold lock.

If anyone but Tavon Austin wins the Hornung Award, I cry fowl. He is the modern definition of that award.

They're not wrong, Teo is still the most decorated player, he just shares that honor with Ward.

I also think Teo gets a nudge for doing it in one year instead of compliling them over a career.

But when he wins the Heisman, then this is all moot.
