Perhaps the most gratifying moment of this game will be the slow panning 2nd half camera shots of dejected Miami fans with their sad faces and horrendous orange/green accent jerseys with their $20 commerative bud light cups in hand.

I hate feeling how I feel about this game, mainly because I had the same feelings prior to the 2017 game, but I think this will be ugly. I think the defense clamps down and suffocates Miami's offense. With the talent that we have in the secondary, going against average WR's (at best). This will allow us to attack and create blitz packages that will force Beck into awful throws.

Good news is, as mike Frank pointed out at the beginning of power hour, is that this is nothing like that 2017 team or a BK coached football team. I'm not expecting ND to roll into Hard Rock and blow out Miami (though I'd love to be pleasantly surprised); they will be amped up and i assume it will be a hornets' nest type of atmosphere, but I don't see a world where this defense gets destroyed. There's just too many athletes and studs on that side of the ball. And Marcus will have the boys ready to embrace the atmosphere if aTm was any indication one year ago.

Veezey box is like $300 on time fee plus a roku stick. You get everything, more than everything
I almost bought one last month as my buddy loves his. Only knock I heard is he hates the remote and you're about 75-90 seconds behind, which isn't a big deal to most unless you like to live bet.

I tend to be pessimistic, blame the Faust, Davie, Willingham, and Weis years. I am not as confident as most of you, I think their DL could cause trouble if Carr isn’t ready. I think their QB, if he has time to throw, could cause us pains.

I’ve also seen some of coach’s teams not ready to play.

With all that said, even with home field advantage, I’m expecting a 27-14 win.

We call it "Hold me I'm Irish" syndrome. Common in millennial ND fans, in addition to high blood pressure.

I think the key word here is "if he has time to throw". Beck looks good when he has time. When he's pressured, he's absolutely horrendous.

Jamie brought up a good point on Power Hour today. Beck's issues weren't just Georgia's receivers dropped the football. He had a good offensive line last year. There were 4 games in which Beck saw pressure 30% or more last year. These were his stats for those games:

Kentucky: 15/24 160 yards 0 TD 0 INT
Texas: 23/41 175 yards 0 TD 3 INTs
Ole Miss: 20/31 186 yards 0 TD 1 INT
Texas: 7/13 56 yards 0 TD 0 INT

The whole notion that Beck had nothing around him last year is just a load of fish paste. Keep in mind, his offensive line consisted of 3 guys who went in the 2nd/3rd round of the '25 draft. That offense had 6 guys get drafted this year.

I think Miami has better tackles than Georgia had last year, but I think Georgia had a considerably better interior than Miami has going into this game. And unlike the Sugar Bowl, you're going to see a lot more than just Junior, Oben and a frosh Bryce Young coming off the edge.

Look at majority of Becks throws it was him trying to do too much throwing to a guy who had 3 guys on him. 70% of the time he wasn’t even getting pressured. He can’t run if we decide to pressure them it’s gonna be a long night for him. You can’t tell me he’s got better WR’s at Miami. Georgia guys at least could get open

I don’t think they’ll be able to contain Young, Burnham, Boubcar, Dawson, Hinish, or Onye they are gonna have to double team a few of these guys

I'm curious to see how good Miami's o line actually is. Their Rt is great but why is everyone so high on everyone else on the line. Right guard seems like their second best lineman and should be pretty good. Their LT was below average last year, left guard is an unknown, center was pretty good going against big 12 competition but not some world beater.

Im sure they're going to be good but what is the justification for calling them great?

When was the last time these two played a close game?? Either way it’s been a blowout it feels like since forever,… so calling a blowout is just going with the most obvious trend

Brad Powers is basically king Bedwetter. He routinely bets against ND, pretends to not be a ND fan in public appearances, throws tantrums on Twitter in the 2Q during eventual blowout wins. He almost certainly loses money annually betting against “ his team”
