As for this, I'm torn. A few thoughts.
It looks REALLY bad that Meyer is doing this now, immediately following two losses. It sends the message that football is more important than anything else.
On the other hand, none of us know what's gone on behind the scenes. Maybe this kid has excelled in class, done community service, worked hard in the weight room, and been an all around excellent role model after one (serious) mistake.
Back to the original hand, that would be more believable if Meyer's time at Florida hadn't already been characterized by 25+ arrests. In that context, it is tough to believe that Florida under Meyer has any interest in the behavior of its players, as long as they meet the barest of minimum standards that would allow them to play on Staurdays.
