Have we ever had so many meaningful snaps for the backups? Serious question.

There were so many guys going in and out, so many different numbers, I couldn't figure out who all played. Does anyone publish snap counts? I'm really curious to see who all got in to the game.

I had the same problem, but that was because I couldn't see the jersey numbers

Amazing night any time I get to see the Irish in person. That is a fast, physical team. I told you guys early on what was going to happen, Army hasn’t seen anything like ND. Very windy day yesterday, not sure if that contributed to any of the kicking woes. The only negative of the whole experience is the shitty entrance bottlenecks getting into Yankee Stadium. Happened to me over the summer as well. Absolute disaster but I left happy.

Mike Berardino usually tweets them the next day, though he hasn't yet.

The dark shiny jersey numbers were impossible. I like the blue-grey jerseys but the numbers should've been normal gold, or white.

Love is just a beast and RL is taking care of the ball... RL had a 153.2 QB Rating with only 13 attempts. The OL just keep getting better - hell, the whole team is getting better each game.

Appeared to be weak attendance. Paper lists 47K attending. Can we not schedule these games at sites/venues where we might get decent attendance? Indy, LV, STL, New Orleans, KC.
Numbers /names on jerseys were horrible. Seems like UA should have done better.
Really think we forego any more FGs, worse than many hs teams.
Gray was awesome, great tackling.

Can't add too much more than what's already been said, except it is absolutely bonkers how good all around Leonard Moore is as a freshman.

It's one thing to be able to cover but he's stepped up repeatedly to blow up blocks and make solo tackles on the perimeter. Just an aboslute stud.

Yankees Stadium only holds 46k. So that's a sellout commemorating the 1924 team against the best Army team in decades.

I think these games are kinda silly most of the time but this kinda worked.

From my understanding there were bottlenecks that delayed the filling of the stadium until later into the game.

For all the pant pissing about losing to NIU and recruiting, I'd like to bring up a practical and real concern that has been occuring to me for weeks: field goal kicking. With everything going so well with all of these comfortable wins, the kicking game sticks out like a sore thumb. Least smooth situation the team has right now as far as I'm concerned.

Definitely the biggest concern, my pants are soaked with urine.

I highly doubt you’ll hear any arguments on that.

Postgame Thoughts:
1) ND took away Army's strength on offense right away.
2) Hard to point out 1 position group on defense, but our LB's are impressive.
3) 3 TD's for Love and Young got his 3rd blocked punt of the season.
4) Can't wait until Young is a starter on defense.
5) I hope ND doesn't have to rely on Jeter.
6) This is an ND team I wouldn't want to face; they are getting the job done on both sides of the ball.
7) Great day for ND on the football field and the basketball court.
8) Beat SC!

Go Irish!

We just need someone automatic inside 45 yards. I feel like we should be able to get that

I don't take a ton away from service academy games when ND has a decent team other than it shows how locked in the boys are.

Last night showed that the boys were locked in, as they have been for several weeks now

Being from Nappanee it’s infuriating that from my understanding ND hasn’t even reached out knowing there’s a kid that’s made 4 FGs in his career over 55 including 2 from over 60. Sounds like he’s either going to Ohio State or Michigan. Weis offered Ryan Burkhart back 20 years ago from the same school and this kid is way better.

Could be resolved with recruiting

I saw the tweet last night just like most other stuff. But what’s his percentage on the shorter kicks?

Again, not saying he’s not worth an offer. I just wonder if he struggles enough from the Short ones that he wouldn’t get an offer.

High school kids are kicking field goals off tees. It is a different ball game once it’s gone in college. I went to school with a kid that hit plenty of 50+ yarders in high school and was recruited pretty heavily for a kicker. He went to Oregon st and was awful without the tee. I would rather take one of the best few transfer options each year that is proven in college rather than a hs kid with a big leg.

Most states don’t allow kids to kick FG’s off tee’s any longer. (Past few years). I specifically know they don’t in IL, Mn, Ga and Fl. But, don’t have a problem with a portal kicker.
