I can't say I wasn't expecting that but damn...that was a nice performance against a good SEC opponent. GO IRISH!

They gashed ND at times but made a lot of self-inflicted mistakes. And then they quit on that fumble + score right before half.

I'm really hoping to see steady improvement throughout the rest of the year defensively. Offense is phenomenal when it's kept simple and just distributed. Two of the five best RB in the nation are on our team. That makes any QBs job easy. OL looked better was glad to see no real pressure especially against a trash defense.

On to the next one should be interesting next week

Offense looks great. Frustrating that this program never seems to put all three sides of the ball together at once but hopefully the defense gets momentum.

Sure you can discount Arkansas' mistakes and not give Ash any credit, but the defense looked better than it did in any game this season. They played more freely and looked more physical. They were finishing tackles (for the most part) and just looked better. Arkansas's offense is very good overall so this wasn't shutting down some sputtering offense that can hardly move the ball.

Plus, if nothing else, having the momentum and good vibes of playing well and giving up zero second half points will help. We don't have to be a perfect product right now, we just have to get better each week.
