TWD is dead to me. I stopped watching three weeks ago and haven't missed it. What'd I miss? Probably nothing.

Same. haven't watched last month. this is unprecedented for me. no matter how bad a show is, if I've dedicated multiple seasons to it I finish it. but walking dead is horrible this season from the first 2 episodes I saw.

Hell I even finished "lost".

FFS just stop watching the show if you hate it so much. Every show stretches a small amount of content over an entire season. It's not exclusive to TWD.

I am amazingly angry after mid season finale. I cant believe they did that. What a terrible, disjointed, over edited episode and to do that weak ass shit at the end on top of it.... wow. I might not watch another episode. I cany believe they did that!!!!!

Oh man I am so mad.

I'm watching it now. I'm just getting more irritated the longer I watch.
I'm at 1:06 of with 22 min to go where the King rolls up in the school bus... I'm really curious to see the end now lol.

LOL.... Just finished and watching Talking Dead and reading a few reviews of the episode.

Cack, sorry buddy, but I liked the ending lol.... Hated the episode editing, but actually enjoyed the final 30 secs. I won't spoil for others, I'll just say that I've always wanted that to happen :). I am very surprised they did it given from what I've heard it's a huge departure from the comics. I think because of what happened, shit will get really real in Feb.

PM or text me with why you hated it so much (aside from the crappy editing and directing).

I hope Satrazemis has directed his last episode. Was not a fan of Episode 5 directing either.

Figures. Haha. :) Huge departure is an understatement. There isnt any going back now unless they do some big surprise which would also suck. Fuuuccckkkkkk.

I don't follow the comics, just picked up some info here and there from articles and board. That said, took me totally by surprise given what I have heard. I haven't really been surprised by a lot of what goes on, so I guess I was happy to finally think..... "WTF".

I guess the individual's family was not happy about what went down.

Yeahs its not good behind the scenes. They have litterally killed the biggest connection to the comics. I cant see how they even continue the story line they are on now. Its a huge fuck up IMO.

Half of me hates when they make series out of books/comics, because everyone knows, or think they know. takes a little element of fun out of it. perhaps the writers/producers thought they'd give all those folks a big FU.

the other half loves it, as it adds another level of discussion. GoT and TWD both keep me in a space where I love speculating, guessing, and on the edge of reading the books/comics.

While I agree having a bit of license with source material is ok and possibly good in some instances (like keeping Daryl and Abraham and Sasha's characters), but this is way too far. They have very much ended what is the main character in the entire series. I dont care if people didnt like this character or thought that they were not done well in the tv series, the character was very much the central point of the entire comic series. Also the way in which it occurred was pathetic. This person deserved so much better. They might as well have had them trip on their shoelaces and fall on a rake or some shit. Piss poor IMO.

I don't care about the show in relation to the comic.

That being said, while the episode was good from a lot-of-shit-went-down perspective, that was by far the worst plotline and editing on the show. Ever. Carol and the King's guy just happen to roll up at the Sanctuary when Rick does?? Then the 3 of them get in a car wreck, together, and the King's guy was taken by some of the Saviors...but not Rick and Carol??? Carol and Rick still make it back to the Kingdom and Alexandria, separately...as each is being destroyed...but still in time to help people escape?? Carl was bitten...when and how??

The entire episode was bush league. It was like a B-movie script, but a terrible B-movie at that.

Carol, Rick, and Jerry split up into the snipers cars and were all headed for different places.

He was bitten two episodes ago when he helped the other dude out in the woods. If you look back through the episodes he is acting like he knows he's a goner (like offering himself up to Negan).

Yeah, makes sense that he was bitten 2 episodes ago, given that he started writing the letter to his dad. You had to know something was up by that point.

They've deviated a lot from the comics here. I don't have high hopes, this has usually ended poorly in the past, but I'm going to see it out cause I'm in it for the long haul I guess  I didn't think they'd kill Carl off, maybe they rewrite their history again and he lives, who knows. That was about the only interesting curveball this episode, and AMC sure played it up in the teasers.

No spoilers here, just guesses (None of this happened in the comics. The following are storylines made only for TV). Seems like they're already setting the wheels in motion for Eugene to double cross Negan at some point. I'm guessing Carol and Morgan team up to free the King, ala Terminus escape. I'm a bit curious what happens with Jadis, are they still on Rick's side or did they pack up and go home? I think they end up helping take on the Saviors permanently /w no more double crosses. Sometime tells me, despite the death of their leader, that Oceanside is going to come to the aid of Rick and Alexandria too.

Didn't Rick mention that there were probably no sniper cars, since he had seen that the Saviors killed the snipers? And weren't the 3 of them in the car when it crashed?

Is Morgan appearing on both shows now?

he said there were most likely no snipers left to drive the cars.

And when they picked Rick up at the sanctuary, Carol was driving. And when Jerry's car was hit he was clearly driving and they showed 3 separate scenes with all 3 driving.

Karl is still kicking with a bite on his stomach. It's been a couple episodes since he was bitten, so expecting them to drag the drama out at least another episode or two.

And I think Morgan will still be seen the rest of this season and will be phased out in some way to be a regular on FTWD. Not sure if Morgan will be seen in the next season of TWD or how they will phase him out to make the transition. Can't remember how Morgan said it on the Talking Dead but the way he announced was almost like a goodbye and thank you to TWD fans and he asked that people continue to follow his journey on FTWD.

How do the timelines (where are they at in each show) mash up? I always thought FTWD's current seasons were earlier that TWD? If true, is Morgan's appearance on FTWD in the past (from a TWD perspective)?

Very good questions to which I have no answer. Never thought of how this would look from a time standpoint. Interesting. All I knew was that Fear was a pre story to TWD. And I also read a theory somewhere that FTWD was maybe be a prestory to the Whisperers storyline.

If Morgan in FTWD is in the past, I'm thinking he gets killed in TWD spring show.
