Carol has pretty much always been my least favorite character. I don't get why people love her.

Yes. This.
Only reason I tolerate her is that Daryl loves her and that is it. I think she is no Bueno.

I feel as though Rick and Michonne's relationship was too forced, which will lead to her demise. Every love interest Rick as ends up dead anyway.

To be honest though, I just think the relationship was too forced.

That's not true - Daryl is still kicking

Hopefully after Negan takes out Carl. I can just see Rick all teary eyed swinging till he collapses from exhaustion.

The group is just too bad at this. I'm hoping Negan and Steven Ogg can take out the whole lot of them. Gabriel would make a pretty good fence zomb... er walker. Rick as the new/old Dwight would be classic, making him put one in Daryl or Lennie James like D did to the guy who tried to get away... I'd leave the furnace for Coral.

By the way, wouldn't it have been better for Jesus to have gone with Rick to the shack and do a walk-on-water/hopping/Pitfall! thing over the zomb...damn walkers to help him out? Maybe Aaron could have thrown a snake at somebody?

I actually thought Rick was trying to miss Negan on purpose when he was shooting at him. That was so unsatisfying.

Kind of a confusing episode. Were all the outposts and their locations (minus the one with satellite receivers) fruits from Dwight's info? What's the aim of the crew with Aaron? If the plan was that they would launch 3 attacks without word ever getting back to the Saviors, and the success hinged on this stealthiness, then that seems like a pretty bad plan.

Still confused also how all this is a better plan than simply killing Nagan when they had a chance.

Yeah - in Rick's scene breaking into their building they showed Rick looking at a map and directions (similar to the paper that Dwight gave them on the lookouts in the 1st episode) and talking with Daryl to ensure it's accurate.

I did love Morgan going "all clear" mode in the outpost.

SPOILERS

Morgan stole the show last night. No rah rah speeches. Just went in a whooped ass with no words spoken. Too many others with the drawn out rah rah speeches.

Love how they brought back the dude from season one and it will be interesting how that plays out.

Who's baby is that and how will than kid fit into the rest of the season. On Talking Dead, they mentioned that the fate of the baby will be revealed throughout the season.

Aaron and his boyfriend (can't remember his name) impressed this episode. Love the bad ass attitudes and how they still protect one another. Would not have cared if the boyfriend was killed before yesterday but he got my respect for taking the fight to the Saviors.

Loved Jesus and then yesterday happened. Like Father Gabriel, he is going to get one or many of his group killed. WTF Jesus?

The tiger needs to go.

Really like where the Dwight situation is. Is he with Alexandria or is he stringing our group along. Would have thought he was all Saviors after yesterday but why were there no guns on the top floor of the compound? Did he want Rick to find that dude that he knew from Season One?

Great episode.

No longer spoilers if the show already aired. Readers should understand that it's their own risk to come in here after Sunday.

Looks like the baby's daddy is the one that Rick got in a fight with and killed. Besides that i think that's all we know of Gracie at the moment. I feel there isn't a back story to her, that this is the beginning of the baby's arc.

Liked the attacks but the one with Aaron and Eric was getting drawn out. After the first shot of it i was just thinking the whole time, "how does either side have that many bullets?"

I was annoyed with Jesus - for sake of the show - kill them all. But i'm sure they have to add some disconnect within the group.

Sheva is awesome - lol. Read the comics if you want to skip ahead of the show for her.

I think Dwight is 100% in with Rick. I can't see Dwight working with Negan and having all the death and destruction against the saviors as a "sacrifice" for bringing in Rick.

I'm pretty sure Dwight has no idea Rick and Morallis? know each other. Just happened.

This. Again what was the aim of this attack? Not sure the plan was real thought out either- kill them all...but do so in a manner where they are corralled, and then the dead people will turn and eat all of the people alive?

Carol has pretty much always been my least favorite character. I don't get why people love her.

She was awful and whiny at the beginning of the show, then she turned into a bit of a badass and was alright. The burning of the bodies at the prison, shooting Lizzie in the head, breaking everyone out of Terminus, threatening the little kid in Alexandria and her whole "Mom" persona, that was all pretty good stuff. Then she got all wishy-washy again last season. I'm a bit tired of characters progressing/regressing/progressing again. Rick has been through several of those too.

Here's my hunch/out of left field death predictions for season 8 (both good and bad):

  • Rosita
  • Gabriel
  • Gregory Would be cool to see a walker come and take him out at the gate
  • Simon
  • Jadis - dumpster leader
  • Eric - Aaron's husband
  • Jared - punk savior at The Kingdom exchanges. So close
  • Tiger

There goes one.

I was kind of surprised by the Morgan/Jesus fight. Thinking, no way one of these guys dies. And if one did, I think it would have been Morgan - not skill purposes, but writing.

Gimple said the first 4 episodes are action-non-stop so I'm anxious to see how all the fighting will come to a close before we start to "slow down."

The whole Rick vs Morales had such built up drama only to have Daryl put a surprise arrow in his eye lol.

People think that Maggie will have her baby or that something will happen down the road and she will take in Gracie as hers then?

Think Rick and Daryl will have a minor falling out? Since Rick gave the Savior his word only to have Daryl shoot him dead in a second?

This will be the main conflict this season as much as Rick versus Negan. What will the world look like after they deal with the Saviors?

Seems it is very different view currently between Maggie/Rick/Jesus and Daryl/Morgan so far. Not sure where Carol is right now as she seems to be smitten with the King's charisma.

This season feels like 4 episodes worth of material stretched out to make an entire season. I expected to see more direct Rick & Negan conflict. Too much filler crap and not enough real story movement. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm getting bored with the series and only watching now just to see how it all ends. I'm no longer genuinely involved.

That's like every season though, some people just don't realize it until later. For years people have been countering that argument by saying you need those slow episodes for story building or some shit. How many times do we need to see Carol waffle between weak and confused to badass, take charge leader? Rick is in the same boat, his character arc is constantly switching back and forth. Then, of course, they have to devote time to auxiliary characters so their eventual deaths will mean something. I'll tell you what, there were plenty of deaths in Season 1 with people we barely knew, and yet the show was great. The best thing that could happen from this War is a lot more people dying, because right now the cast is too big and diluted.

agree with you guys, am finding this season painful to watch. so boring and stale, with plot crawling at a snails pace. I think this feeling is shared by most but we're all committed, so we pretty much HAVE to watch at this point.

p.s. who is the crossover character (from FTWD into TWD)?
saw them discussing on "talking dead"...but fell asleep before person came on!

Morgan. I'm not happy about this. But it is obviously from TWD to FTWD

TWD is dead to me. I stopped watching three weeks ago and haven't missed it. What'd I miss? Probably nothing.

At least this season has had some "action" though. The entire plan to off Negan took some planning, scheming, movement, and execution, which we were able to see in the first few episodes. I'll take that any day over suffering through a forced plotline of Carol becoming the reluctant hero, whose mere existence holds not 1 community together, but 3.

But yeah, the show has dragged for so long that it now has become one of those shows where you can multitask during it, instead of devoting full attention to it for an hour.

This.

Last night my brother said, "It feels like getting a lazy handjob from a girl you're tired of."
