Yeah, makes sense that he was bitten 2 episodes ago, given that he started writing the letter to his dad. You had to know something was up by that point.
They've deviated a lot from the comics here. I don't have high hopes, this has usually ended poorly in the past, but I'm going to see it out cause I'm in it for the long haul I guess

I didn't think they'd kill Carl off, maybe they rewrite their history again and he lives, who knows. That was about the only interesting curveball this episode, and AMC sure played it up in the teasers.
No spoilers here, just guesses (None of this happened in the comics. The following are storylines made only for TV). Seems like they're already setting the wheels in motion for Eugene to double cross Negan at some point. I'm guessing Carol and Morgan team up to free the King, ala Terminus escape. I'm a bit curious what happens with Jadis, are they still on Rick's side or did they pack up and go home? I think they end up helping take on the Saviors permanently /w no more double crosses. Sometime tells me, despite the death of their leader, that Oceanside is going to come to the aid of Rick and Alexandria too.
