Oh wow. Good catch.

It's been all over the introwebs today...don't give him too much credit.

I didn't notice at all until I saw it today.

Good on Abe. Although underwhelming, solid character and got laid more than anyone else on the show.

The hand signal? You think that was like a code to the audience that two of them would Die?

Not a code that they would die but a farewell from Abe to Sasha. They did that to each other throughout season 6. And like Pat said it is all over the internet today although I did catch it during the show.

Shane and Andrea would like a word. I think they both have had two sexual partners too. Andrea sure liked the bad boys.
Plus Rick is on his 3rd partner.
To be fair though, Rosita is smoke and trumps anything.

They better ride Negan out as long as they can, cause I have a feeling the show is going to suffer if/when they resolve that conflict.

Exactly. Rosita is so hot.

And I forgot about Shane and Andrea.

I think Andrea had 3? Shane, The Guvnah, and Michonne.

Wait...did she and Michonne get it on? I knew they were close, but I thought it was more...buddy buddy.

it's Monday 12est and not one post?

This episode definitely kept the emotions in check. It's good to get the whole background story of The Kingdom and King Ezekial to get the storylines in place. Carol annoys me. Big fan of Morgan. I get the episode but after last weeks i would have loved to continue with them in episode 2.

What throws me off is this:

Bob gets bitten, he's tainted meat --> Terminus guys eat Bob's foot --> Terminus guys infected.

Pigs eat walkers --> Pig tainted meat...? --> Saviors eat Pigs --> Saviors not infected...?

Guessing you can eat walkers but you get bitten it will run through your system and infect/change you. Just seems really blurry.

Wondered the exact same thing. Thought they were purposely feeding the pigs walkers in order to infect the Saviors. Maybe it doesn't happen, or maybe we're getting ahead of the show. Overall, I felt the episode was boring. Carol drives me nuts when she's crazy Carol and not badass Carol.

I was also very confused by this. Perhaps it will affect the Saviors somehow but it will happen slowly.

Yeah I do not like Carol. I hope she gets killed off soon. King Ezekiel was awesome but I wish they didn't give us the whole backstory right away in this episode. I kind of liked the mystery behind him.

Morgan is probably in my top 5 characters I do not want to see die.

Next week looks like a Daryl and Dwight episode so I'm sure it will be awesome.

My take is that we have not encountered cannibals before Terminus. No one including the Terminati knew what would happen if they ate walker flesh. However WE know already from season one that all people are carriers and that they are not animated/activated till after they die so IMO cannibalism would do nothing more different than eating a walkers flesh. I guess maybe the Terminati never considered eating walker flesh so it screwed with them when Bob started giving them crap. I think I recall a few even asked " What will happen to us?" as if they might immediately die and turn to walkers.

I think the Kingdom is using walkers to fatten up the pigs they give to the Saviors just being general cheapskates and dicks. As pigs take lots of food to keep healthy, it makes sense to me that they would keep their pigs well fed with their own foods and vegetables etc. and then feed the other half of the pigs they give to the Saviors that are full on walkers. I dont think the two are the same as I dont think anything will happen from cannibalizing walkers.

Could be wrong though.

EDIT; I do remember now that Ezekiel Told Morgan he wants the pigs bellies "full of rot" though its not explicitly stated that eating walker meat could or is known to cause death, just not smart. I think its assumed to be bad but not really understood.

No spoilers here:

I imagine they're trying to hurt the Saviors with having the pigs eat the walkers and then giving the pigs to the Saviors. That's the most likely scenario. If there is no such thing as tainted meat, then my only thought is they don't want to waste their good crops on pigs they're giving away, might as well get them fat on cheap feed.

I also concur that crazy Carol is lame. Badass Carol or GTFO. In general I really dislike how often they seem to flip between character personas. Rick is a great example. When Rick first awoke in the hospital he's timid and kinda scared, makes sense. He goes through a major change after killing Shane and becomes dictator Rick. Then he goes crazy after Lori dies. Then he becomes more President/farmer Rick. Then back to crazy Rick that will chomp out guy's throats, fuck up Termites, and try and stage a coup against Alexandria. Then back to President Rick, democracy for all. Etc, etc. Carol has gone through the same kind of changes, it's like the writers don't know what kind of character they want. I understand that characters are going to go through changes and evolutions, but for them to flip back and forth constantly is really irritating. If they're doing it to keep things interesting, it's not working. It's just frustrating when it's a constant thing.

So it seems we have a couple seasons worth of plotlines ready to roll out. My question is...what is the endgame? No comic spoilers please.

How many more seasons can this go?

Will there be a cure? Or...

Will everyone just die out? Or...

No definite resolution?

Will TWD characters meet up with FTWD characters (yes I still watch the show and it's getting better)?

heard at least 3...possibly ten!

Will there be a cure? Or...

I doubt it but curious to see if (Judith) pending Maggie baby have it already. maybe it skips a generation (like twins:)
Will everyone just die out? Or..

I think not, and the babies hanging in there thru all this seem to point in that direction.
No definite resolution?

not sure what needs to be resolved to me its "do people survive all this or not and if they do what type of world do they create"
Will TWD characters meet up with FTWD characters (yes I still watch the show and it's getting better)?

have heard this is a real possibility, bit would I think have too be many seasons into the future

my best guesses are above (after your questions)

I think they can milk a few seasons out of Negan at least, and they better. No spoilers, but the comics followed the Negan storyline for a looooong time, and in the end there still wasn't a clear resolution. I'd end it after Negan though. IMO it can only go downhill from there, he should be THE villain and the final resolution.

Will there be a cure? Or...

I have a theory that maybe new babies that are born could be free from infection? It's never been explored to my knowledge (I'm behind in the comics by about a year), but since parents already have the disease maybe children born into the apocalypse could be immune to turning once they're dead? Something something babies develop immunity or something.

Will everyone just die out? Or...

I think the actors are going to want to move on at some point, and I can't see this running for more than a few more years. I imagine if the execs have their way the show will go out on a high note, kill Negan, everybody lives in peace knowing that future generations (Babies born immune theory) will no longer have to deal with the threat. Happy days.

No definite resolution?

I think that would be kind of cool, but these kind of series endings often leave the majority of the audience with a bad taste in their mouths. Shows with a long run that have controversial endings just end up pissing a lot of people off. I'd love to see a curve ball where everyone dies at the end, but I don't think they'll do it.

Will TWD characters meet up with FTWD characters (yes I still watch the show and it's getting better)?

I'm hoping that doesn't happen. For one, both sides are on either end of the country, seems far fetched that they'll traverse that distance even if they had a Eugene in their group that thought DC would be safer than the west coast. That's thousands of miles. It's almost unrealistic to think the Georgia group made it to DC between seasons with little to no visible struggle/drama, given everything that happened through the first 6 seasons just outside Atlanta.

Replies in bold.

Ever since Lori got pregnant, I have been really leery of a Judith immunity/chosen one storyline. I just think that is the easy way out. That being said, I don't have a better idea, but I am not a TV show writer.

This last episode was a good break from the heavy emotional season premiere, but I don't like backstory episodes or set up episodes. I like every episode to be able to stand on its own merit. Shows like Breaking Bad never had to use setup episodes to keep things moving. Plus, I don't like when we don't see some characters for one or two episodes. Just my opinion.

I did really like how Ezekiel changed his whole tone and diction when revealing his backstory to Carol. I am excited to see where his character goes. Plus, I watched Talking Dead and he just seems like a really cool, appreciative, and talented dude. On a side note, shoutout for Chloe Bennett on Talking Dead. She is so freaking hot!

Can you name a bigger pansy den Morgan? I'm so sick of seeing him

I was going to say Carol from seasons 1-3 was pretty helpless and useless, funny how they're both paired up right now. Rick was quite the pansy/mental case for awhile and he was also horrible to watch. Nicholas from Alexandria was a gutless wimp. Eugene was definitely in that category and probably still is. All that said, Morgan definitely takes the cake presently.

Carol as the anti-hero hero is nauseating. I wish Neagan could have found her and killed her.

Eugene needs to speak more, that character and role honesty cracks me up

I wouldn't say Morgan is a pansy. Him and his mentor were badasses that respected life.

You see with the Savior and the walkers last episode that he can come out of his shell when he needs to.

As far as alive and good characters, he's behind Rick and Daryl for my favorite actor.

Don't know about badasses, that's a little strong. They're pretty good with a staff, that's about it. The problem is his mentor was completed isolated for a long time. He respects life, but some people are irredeemable no matter how much hope you have. It's not like a guy like Negan is redeemable. Sometimes you have to make a choice for others to survive. Keeping that Wolf guy alive was a stupid move. In the end he sacrificed himself to allow Denise to possibly live, but they wouldn't have even been in that situation if Morgan just killed the guy. The Wolf could have killed Carol and Morgan when he knocked them out too, they dodged one there.

Have yall forgotten the fortess of solitude he created for himself? LOL, dude cleared out a whole town of walkers, fortified it in a fit of craziness and amassed an arsenal by himself.

That was awesome Morgan. That guy died. In his place we have staff wielding, not-gonna-kill-purely-evil-people-so-it-bites-us-in-the-ass-later Morgan.
