they have home and aways versus Texas and Oklahoma in the next four years but yeah lately their scheduling has been a joke
They are talking about removing those since the B1G is going to an expanded conference schedule with USC & UCLA coming over.

Gotta wonder if that means tOSU drops Texas and Alabama in the coming years too.

Penn State's schedules are pretty bad too. Delaware, Marshall, Buffalo, Villanova, Nevada, Bowling Green, Kent State, closest thing they have to a good OOC team is West Virginia this year.

Hey now! I heard Marshall beat a top 10 team last year! They don't deserve to be in that group

Maybe with expansion to 12-team playoff starting next year, key, non-conf., prove-your-mettle games not as important and needed since there will be such a wide swath of FBS teams who could then play each other in more exciting games with even bigger implications?

Looks like an SEC OOC schedule.

This will galvanize a stacked team with no risk as they play UNLV the first four games.

Kentucky sites saying the Smith twins, Jerod & Jacob, visited Kentucky this week & are going to flip to them.
Glad ND passed on them and funny that EJ made a huge deal of it saying Michigan stole them from ND and now Kentucky is going to flip them.
That’s awesome!! I’m sure the Michigan heads are curious what other ND guys they can get to flip…

Good lord. Jacob committed like TWO WEEKS AGO and he's already wavering. That's insane.

One of their other edge commits was at Miami this weekend too. Their class currently is just a worse version of ND’s last year.
Now the spring/summer has happened & Fall camp is under way, I think ND’s class is a lot better than their ranking.
I trust ND’s coaches seeing these guys practice & simple examples like Ben Minich or Greathouse show that. The ND staff loved Minich before his thumb injury & thought he might play this year. Greathouse’s ranking was ridiculous and we all see he will might start. Ausberry & Bowen plummeted in the rankings & they will play as freshmen, as did Vernon.

The thing that is important is ND could put a starting group on both sides of the ball with that class, which a lot of teams can’t do.

QB Minchey
RB Love
TE Flanagan
WR Greathouse
WR Flores
WR James
OT Jagusah
OT Absher
C Otting
G Pendleton
G Terek

WR Smith (injured, but 4th Wideout)

DL Traore
DL Vernon
DL Houstan
DL Mukam
LB Bowen
LB Ausberry
LB Zinter
CB Gray
CB Bell
S Minich
S Shuler

Not too many teams can put a legit starting lineup of every position on both sides of the ball in a single class.

Very true.

Just another example of 247's plummet into the abyss in quality with Ivins running the show.

I can SOMEWHAT see it with Vernon. He started out as a top 10 composite player overall, which he absolutely wasn't. Then he dropped into the 50-90 range, which IMO, fits perfectly. But then Ivins just kept going to the point where he was borderline top 200, and there was ZERO justification for that much of a drop. It wasn't just an overcorrection for his lofty early ranking, it was just a flat out hack job by a guy with a clear bias against ND.

Ausberry and Bowen, I'm still trying to figure out what these services are watching. Both are top 50 players, easily. Then for no reason whatsoever, 247 and On3 decided to absolutely torpedo their ranking. Rivals has Bowen appropriately rated at 48th overall, but they also dropped the ball with Ausberry, dropping him from inside the top 50 to outside the top 200. I really can't figure that out. As of now, we're seeing that they were appropriately placed in the top 50 before the services did an about face on them.

Yeah, if you are legitimately in the two deep of a top 10 team as a true freshman, you were at least a top 100 player, if not top 50.
