Harbaugh is back in San Diego with his family. Seems like he has 1 foot out the door.
Football Scoop is reporting that Harbaugh is coming back on a 5 year deal but for half of his salary, at $4 million per year
This is a cheap way for scUM to punt until next offseason, giving them a way to hold the roster together for the next guy.
I guess Harbaugh could also pull a backdoor cover and win 10 games... but that still probably doesn't matter when he gets beat down by OSU again.
What a loser to take a 50% paycut so he wouldn't be fired in shame. He's basically on probation for the upcoming seasons... expect there to be chatter about the "next" coach until/unless Michigan pulls off a miracle season.

cheap buyout too. If reports are true and he wanted a NFL gig and no teams came calling then that's just a brutal look for him

A guy that has never recruited. Beautiful.

In my industry that is called a PIP. Performance Improvement Plan. If it is not achieved in a set amount of time as agreed upon by all parties...you're gone. No liability by the University if it happens.
Schematic advantage!
Remember when ND hired an NFL linebackers coach to modernize the defense? He brought that Rex Ryan scheme to college football!
I wonder what role John had in this.

this OOC schedule cant be real?
Imagine they squeek by and go 3-0 entering BIG10 play ranked 10th in the nation.
Then lose 3 in a row
Goes from the highest paid to 8th highest paid coach in the Big10. What a loser indeed. Could he really not find another job?
