Michigan State noticed and took umbrage at the stake-planting. Rather than take a knee with a 17-point lead in the final minute, the Spartans tacked on another touchdown on a Jeremy Langford run.

"It just felt like we needed to put a stake in them at that point," Dantonio said in his postgame news conference.

The Spartans have often felt disrespected in this in-state rivalry, especially since then-Michigan tailback Mike Hart referred to them as "Little Brother" after a 2007 Wolverines win. Since then, Michigan State has won six of the past seven meetings.

"I can only be diplomatic for so long," Dantonio said Saturday evening. "The little brother stuff, all the disrespect, it didn't have to go in that direction.

"We try to handle ourselves with composure. That doesn't come from a coach. It comes from the program. Throwing the stake down in our backyard out here and coming out there like they're all that. That got shoved up ... It got shoved in the last minute and a half."

Hoke said Saturday that he wasn't sure exactly what happened with the stake-planting incident. In his Sunday statement, he said he told Dantonio that "we meant no disrespect to his team."

I guarantee that if UM won that game, Hoke wouldn't be apologizing. He's in backpedal mode now. Quite comical.

I am leaning towards Clark because he recently publically stated he was taking two official visits which is against Hoke's no visit policy.

So if Kirkland deccomits which he might they would be down to 8. Clark will deccomit he will be down to 7 and if Weber leaves for OSU and MSU. Fuck them, I don't even feel bad. Watch that place burn and hopefully they hire Brady Hoke and Rich Rod part 3. FUCK MICHIGAN

And with Taylor's decommit, michigan drops to #39 in the 247 composite team rankings behind traditional powerhouses like Wake Forest, Duke, and Georgia Tech.

The best part is that Clark, Weber, and Kirkland are looking around. Once those three bolt, that class will have nothing. I also can't imagine that Brian Cole will stick either. That would leave them with 5 commits, one being a kicker.

God damn I love this.

Their remaining schedule is Indiana (home), Northwestern (road), Maryland (home), and OSU (road). They are currently at 3 wins. What record do they finish with? and do they become bowl eligible, 6 wins?

I say they end up at 4-8, they beat Indiana at home and finish the season with 3 consecutive losses. This dumpster fire is incredibly entertaining.

They'll beat Indiana only because Indiana is down to the guy who tightens the removable cleats at QB. I believe 4-8 is very real and 5-7 the ceiling.

Indiana's runningback, Tevin Coleman, is the real deal. I believe he was the ncaa leading rusher until last week, where he slid to third overall (52 yards off the lead). I can totally see him gashing the skunkbears for over 200 yards.
