That may just be wishful thinking. Urban's good at winning games, but he's a shitweasel of a person. I don't think it has much to do with where he coaches. It's just who he is down at his core. He talks a mean game about God and faith and character, but that's all it is... just talk to cover up who he really is. I don't think the guy has much of a moral compass and whether he was coaching at UF, OSU, ND, or being a greeter at Walmart, he'd find a way to be a shitweasel.

Environment can do wonders. I've seen bad people do well in good places, and good people fall apart in bad places. It's not all the environment, but it does have an impact.

What in the world is wrong with these football coaches, and with us for allowing them to be this way? Meyer and Durkin didn’t just fail as coaches and leaders of young men, they failed as human beings.

Durkin likely won’t survive, and shouldn’t, but Meyer might. If he does, what an interesting situation that will present. Meyer, as sanctimonious a man as exists in college football, has never hesitated to suspend his players for actions as varied as public urination and drunk driving. He also hasn't hesitated to speak out about the transgressions of other coaches.

So, what would that Urban Meyer say about this Urban Meyer?

I am very curious to see if the committee actually turns in their findings and recommendations on time. I understand why they did it, but if they don't turn it in on time, they will catch heat from one side or the other. Both claiming they needed more time to come up with a reason to hire or fire.

Remember, JT wasn't immediately fired, but it took one allegation and a bunch of reporters to unearth additional dirt on him. I think there will be quite a few reporters who won't stop until Urbz is canned.

I agree with you on Smith taking the fall. It will be interesting to see the reaction from the public if in fact Urban keeps his job. I would imagine the protests would be somewhat significant and if the hounds from hell in the press keep busy, Urban and tOSU could be in for a bumpy ride. Throw in a few sponsor contracts that get broken off and the cost may be too high to keep Urban around. The brand is always bigger than the man in the end.

1) Haskins is about 3 inches and 30 pounds away from being Cardale Jones
2) They tried a Jones-run offense in 2015 and it sucked, which is why he was pulled for Barrett. Jones caught lightning in a bottle, but couldn't maintain the next year.
