OK, AL.com just reported it. Well, we all knew this day would come. I was just hoping it wouldn't happen for another few years. The best run in CFB history had to end eventually. I'm glad I got to be around to see Saban's time at Bama.
For now, Kirby will surpass his run very soon.

I love MF, but I can all but guarantee he wouldn't hit the top 20 for Bamas job. I'll worry when I hear 22 or 23 coaches have passed on the job.

Swinney has a $60M buyout.... don't know what Kiffen's is... but Sark's is only $15M I believe.....

Saban is a legend in every way. Probably the best there ever will be. Never for a second did I understand any hate against him or what he's done.
You know in light of the changes that have occurred in past few years to the CFB game, he doesn't seem as evil. Still wondered if there were some shady things happening there over the years but likely just him taking advantage of what he had in front of him - strong SEC country recruiting, gray shirting, after a few 'bama championships, throwing his rings on the table and asking why not join us here? He's seems like a nice guy (but with a control freak streak, but the good ones have this) and so will go down as the GOAT of CFB coaching (instead of the SCAPEGOAT of CFB - Read Joe Paterno). I hope he has many happy years into the Sunset of his life.

Gotta think Sark, Lanning, and Lane are going to get calls. Lanning's buyout will probably eliminate him. Sark is getting ready to get a big raise. Lane... don't know his buyout. Past that, who knows. Won't be Dabo. He done burnt his bridges in T Town plus he's not forward thinking enough. Whoever it is will more than likely have some serious ties to the South.
