Alt started as a freshman
Knapp started as a freshman
Black to start as a freshman?

Merrill looks like he could be the next freshman great o-line man at ND; great pick up by the Irish! Based off this picture glad he is suiting up for the Irish.

Though the first blush sure screamed ND... for some reason, I just didn't think this one was gonna happen in the end. Good to be wrong.

Just need one of Ogboko, Ojo, Goodwin and/or a late mystery guest at OT like a Max Wright to round out a very good OL class.

I agree with this and I think ND is in a very very good spot with Goodwin, but he’s also the bottom of those three for me. Already a good interior class and one stud tackle to pair with Will Black will round it out

got a good laugh the day this kid announced he was picking our irish because on youtube three PSU writers who work for on3 had an hr or so long podcast on the 26 recruiting class and this Tyler Merrill kid was brought up about where they thought he might go school wise in the afternoon and one said predictions were for the irish but talked about the PSU staff had a lot of IOL guys as high or higher on the board than him even though he is rated a top five IOL player in the nation wanted by most of the top schools around the country, just funny how beat writers try to down play losing a big time recruit that the school they write about just lost like scUM writer EJ

It has been written, the BIG OAK stood shirtless, shoulders above the heroes of ND, hoisting the CFP National Championship Trophy above his head! The men cheered whilst an army of breath-taken co-eds showered him with undergarments!

Does this indicate that you don't think Patrick Gregory will be in the fold?

When he wasn’t at ND’s JR Day with all the top OL commits and targets and instead went to MI who wasn’t having any planned gathering… it was all the sign I needed to move on.

Still, ND turned around and went to his house so I don’t know… BUT if you live by the ole krootin adage, “Don’t listen to what recruits say, watch what they do”, I’d definitely take the field over ND.

Espn has him listed at 6’7. Has he been measured anywhere recently or does anyone have any idea if hes 6’5 or closer to the ESPN 6’7?

He just attended the Rivals camp & took pics with the other ND commits there.
He was definitely taller than Patrick. And he was only a little taller than OBrien.
So I don’t see 6’7, but probably over 6’5.

People have said O'brien is just about 6'5

Still surprised a kid from Cumberland Valley chose ND. Usually it's an immediate PSU commit.

At the moment, is it possible for a midwestern hoss to dislike Gills?
I had heard of him, but had no real idea who Gillis was prior to last season. Now he might be my favorite ND celebrity fan. Vince Vaughn is still up there. RIP Regis and George Wendt.
