He’s from Shane Gillis’ hometown of Mechanicsburg. Let’s put that NIL promise to use brother.
Hopefully Shane learned that parking an Equipment Semi in front of a recruit's home doesn't work.

But parking a Bud Light truck in front might do the trick...

Quick, get him to sign a binding NIL deal before Rudolph leaves

Curious how the staff sees Merrill in relation to Garvin and Nichols. Are they all guards/interior guys? Or do they see one guy that has the feet and length to play tackle?

Someone on the beat, can't remember who, said Nichols and Merrill are being looked at as IOL prospects. Garvin is likely going to end up as an IOL, but may get a look at RT to start.

Most won't like the fact if I bring up Singer at all, but he put a prediction in last August (to ND) for Merrill. This morning, on the On3 board, Wiltfong sided with Singer, and put one in for ND. Chad Simmons did the same.

Singer has made some nice calls on OL recruits. He was firm in believing that Schrauth would end up at ND when a lot of ND folks thought Wisconsin was the favorite.

Singer gets a bad rap but honestly with all the attrition to the other sites blue and gold might have the best Intel for recruiting

Yeah people who rag on BGI just don’t like the people and ignore the work they do. Singer’s been pretty good at sifting through the intel Bowden and the whole staff gives him and sniffing out the BS.

I don’t like Singer because he’s sweaty

He also banned me from the board because I dunked on him for something I can’t remember while I had the $1 sub

What was your handle? Few get banned over there.

Don’t even remember. No he was banning left and right during the $1 sub promotion

Sorry to derail. Shout out Shane Gillis.

Jamie U’s eval of Nichols mentions some positional flexibility if need be. His comp is Aaron Banks, who was a guard for 3 seasons but could’ve been a tackle had he stayed for his 5th year

That is Jamie's opinion. I was moreso talking about how ND views the prospects.

I don't like Singer because he is an annoying prick but I will give him credit for consistently putting in picks early when he feels ND is the leader rather than waiting until their is a silent commit like most people on On3 and 247 do. He doesn't seem to care about the precious prediction scores that others care about.
Waiting until it's almost done is like betting on a horse that leads by a length with 10 yards to go then thumping your chest when it wins.

Didn't realize Merrill was a top100 OL, that's significant. We often get good linemen but it's usually only 1 - top 100 OL per class for us, then it's usually coupled with a bunch of outside the top 250 who have massive potential.

Didn't realize the magnitude of this potential add, hope he wants to wear the golden dome.

He's following On3's ranking of Merrill, which has Merrill as the #5 IOL prospect nationally. Blue and Gold Illustrated is partnered with On3.
