Maybe for the NYC centric view. But that vernacular is used very common in the Philadelphia area for the Delaware valley.
I mean it's used to refer to several regions with 3 close areas like Philly, Chicago, Tex/LA/Ark and of course the DMV but usually it each area has its own name for it.

Saw somewhere he may have fractured his tibia, that was unverified though. Looked like a high ankle sprain to my relatively untrained eye, they may have done tightrope (?) surgery right away to give him plenty of time to rehab.

Edit: Didn't see the broken fibula at the top, that makes more sense than tibia. Would think he is back around the beginning of camp

So about a 3 month recovery time. At best he's working back at the start of the fall if we're going to be cautious, which I would in this case.

Hello 2026 Khary Adams you 5 star freak you.

This sucks for him though. Let’s pray the leg heals as expected with no Jugasah voodoo.

Different position than Adams. Prolly would open the door for Long having less competition, but he was playing well already anyway.

Let’s imagine JOB can’t do much this year - if Christian Gray can actually play Nickel, they should begin cross-training Golden at safety.

2026: Shuler/Tae - Long/Talich - Logan/walk-on

2027 - worst case: Long - JOB (as a RS FR) - Logan/freshman

They need one more sure body. Golden is more nickel/safety than corner/nickel long term IMO.

Sucks for him but what a luxury that our 5 star stud Safety breaks his leg and it means nothing for the upcoming season. We have come a long way from the BK days.

Yeah I think the biggest loss is he really needs to put on pounds and this will limit him over the summer but shouldn’t be a issue long term and he will play this year
Him, and especially Pouncy were very thin. I know these kids just graduated high school, but damn, Pouncy needs to put on some weight

Most likely probably back by Navy or Miami that would allow him to redshirt

It would be nice to get an accurate diagnosis to squash all the speculation, including my own 😉

If it's just a Fibula that's a pretty quick recovery. He may even be full go for fall camp. The trouble with fibulas is they often include damage to the tibia and bad cases the ankle. If this isn't a bi-mal or tri-mal fracture, he will be good by mid-July for non-contact.

Unless you’re unsure Prister is correct, broken fibula. It’s posted in the OP.
