IE in 2027:

Knight is taking over at QB after Carr hit the draft early, but debate rages on about how the ball spinning differently out of a lefty's hand is disrupting the WR's. Is it worth it to start the 6'5 lefty with hight upside, or do we stick with whatever 6' white guy is on the roster with limited physical upside, but elite 'traits'???

247 have us and Tennessee as the favorites if u believe their interest level rating system. Would certainly be a hell of a pull.

This question hilariously gets asked every time but so valid.

I did an internship outside of Jackson in college and it was quite a different lifestyle. I actually enjoyed it for the most part but would have to imagine a MS kid thinking the Midwest is lame as hell.

It's so hard to envision any kid from Mississippi feeling like they're a fit in South Bend, Indiana. It's not a *coincidence* that ND has signed two Mississippi kids since 2000.

One of them still lives in the area & never left. Loves it. Coaches HS football there.

Well, maybe Deuce comes here and becomes the second one to live in the area and never leave. Using history as a guide, it's still hard to believe it happens.

I think it’s more to do with the level of HS education in the state

Our hit rate on recruits from Southern public schools is low across the board. But maybe Deuce will be different.

Side note: I see Jarious Jackson is now an OC/QB coach type in the Canadian Football League. Maybe if Gino G is a short-timer...

“The whole coaching staff are great people and Notre Dame is a school where if you come everyday focus on your goals. I believe you can’t lose in life because of the top notch academics and you’re playing football on a national stage.”

I love this situation if it plays out the way he has said.

He said he wants to make a decision in “early summer.”

He has 3 visits, and they are all in a week down.
June 2 at Tenn
June 7 at LSU
June 10 at ND

So ND gets him last before he commits & they get him immediately after the others to destroy their after visit highs.

Perfect scenario if it plays out.

The problem is their offense is perfect for Deuce… they tell him he is the next Hendon Hooker….

I think it’s more likely we flip Beasley than land Deuce unfortunately.
