If he's not a high NIL guy though, and he's a potentially high MLB draft pick, it's probably easier for him to make "decent" money in minor league baseball than it is in college football (even if it's easier to ultimately make "big" money in pro football).
According to Google, about 95 percent of three-star recruits never make it to the NFL either.

Either way, dude should probably go to college.
Average salary for minor league baseball player is 50,000

If he’s a top 100 draft pick his signing bonus will be easily 7 figures. He has all the leverage, he can say pay me or I’ll go to Notre dame the next 3 years. It’s not even close, he’d make significantly more money in baseball if he’d be drafted that high.

5th round MLB guys usually get around 400-500,000 signing bonus or pick value

Even if it's six figures ($400K-$500K) that's a lot more a three-star defensive back would likely get in NIL in college. And he gets it now. Not in three or four years maybe if he beats the football odds and becomes like a fourth-round NFL pick.

Not when they’re in high school and have full scholarship offers to top colleges, giving them all the leverage like I said. Also, try to read a little slower…I said top 100. That’s top 3 rounds, so why are you quoting 5th round?

That's not how it works at all. The average HS singing bonus in the 5th round (will take your example round) was well over 1 million last year. Teams try not to waste a draft pick unless they have some assurances on a signing + buy them out of going to college.

If you see Logan get drafted in the 4th/5th range and he's really that good - it's something to monitor for sure and it's a real decision to make.

One day after the draft he could be a PRO athlete with a possible 7-figure signing bonus or a 3-star true freshmen going to redshirt at a non-premium position (to the NFL).

Minor league salaries below triple A are extremely low 15-20k a year or so. The bonus is what would cause him to go the baseball route and they are less than six figures in the lower rounds. ND football will pay him enough to keep him unless he goes pretty high in the draft.
Picking ND over Vandy tells me he wants to give football a shot

Like I have said before....I work with a guy who's son plays baseball with him at Snider. From what I was told from him....he will have what I would consider to be a very nice NIL package. I guess they talked about it one night he was over.
