lol to espn thinking there are 28 better cornerbacks in the country
Let me throw this on for a sec...360_F_366160287_1O7OjMCIjv0XCpVAltN8y35N8w6MVbeN.jpg
It seems nd commits or leans tend to have some suspicious rankings on some sites. How cj carr wasn't a 5* still baffles me. (Also I'm kinda new to the board. So greetings from Canada to all, I look forward to some great conversations.) Go Irish!

Yuri Wright?? Wow! I remember he started as a FR, but sunk further down the depth chart every year. As a RS JR he was 3rd string after his 3rd concussion.

I’m not sure who you’re thinking of, but that’s not Yuri Wright. Yuri Wright’s Twitter fingers prevented him from going to ND more than anything else

I hadn't heard that story. Yikes, and no way ND could've taken a kid expelled from Catholic HS (or any high school, really).

The Peyton Bowen saga was close, but nothing will ever compare to the early BK classes in terms of drama
Those years were like Peyton Bowen but with five kids a cycle.

Of that DB class you posted, Shumate turned out to be a pretty solid player at least. Dude liked to hit people.

I challenge Uncle Pete to get an ND commitment announcement on the Indy 500 broadcast pre-race coverage.

Having Mark Zackery commit this morning promoting NBC's college football coverage woulda been good business.

Mark Zackery is a LEGIT basketball player. I’ve had him a couple times. He could play at ND.

Let's lock up JaDon Blair to finish off the secondary class.

The gap has been closed on secondary talent

It's Yuri Wright and I never said anything about him playing at ND. He played at Colorado, and ended up giving up Football with two years of eligibility left.

Pretty difficult to not get excited about this defensive backfield class. Mickens is doing work and I love it.

Welcome to Notre Dame Mark Zackery!!

This.

In years past, you had to pray every Cole Luke became a plus cornerback. With Mickens, I KNOW there will be plus CB's across the board regardless it they are 98's or 88's.. He's produced dudes at every position at two schools in a row. And not just really good dudes... elite #1 dudes in the sport.

I really like the DB Haul, but the PERFECT haul would've been Haynes/Golden/Zackery IV at CB and Taylor/Blair at S. Haynes is elite on both sides of the ball (especially WR) and Golden is very good on both sides (more as a RB) at the Prep level. Haynes really would've came here if they gave him priority despite being torn between OK/ND. Interesting to see how they all progress.

He does do a very good job of developing guys in the secondary! Now needs to swing for more HRs, but the base hits are cool/safe
