Knapp seems like a stud and moves pretty darn well.
I've watched him for a while (Roswell High less than a mile from my front door) and at first was disappointed in the verbal. But after his senior season, dude is a menace...As Chuck Weis would say...he's as nasty as they come.

I know it's the wrong thread, but I wanted to mention the 2 biggest things that I noticed about Knapp this year are:

-Roswell's QB thought he was Caleb Williams and constantly held the ball way too long. 55 had a never ending motor, it was crazy to see the way he moved around with a QB like that.

- I watched him block 4 and 5 star kids that will be playing in the SEC all season. And I don't mean just block....I mean practically threw some kids onto the track that surrounded the football field.

Hobbs is one of my favorites in the class. If you listen to him in interviews he is super competitive

We will likely have better CBs than last season given BM was out.

was he made co-DC?

No, but he's being treated like he is. According to Brice he has a multi-year contract and is being paid 7 figures. This was on a podcast in the last few months. Seider has a similar deal on the offensive side of the ball.

Luck is the residue of design. It's not a cruel sport, it's a garbage team.
Football is unique in that the team that gets 11 dudes to execute more often and more efficiently usually wins. Basketball, one guy can prop up a team. Baseball, one bad pitch or error can inflate or derail a team.

That’s what’s great about this game. If you don’t have all 11 dialed in and on the same page more than the guy across from you—you very seldom can out talent that.

I thought A&M looked like a better football team. Ripped off giant chunk plays routinely. Made zero or negative yard plays happen fairly often.

ND did not do much or any of the latter. Got some nice chunks...but it felt much easier for A&M which is why they scored 40+ points and ND's offense scored 33 or whatever it was.

They avoided negative plays but I’ll push back on the zero yard plays considering Marcel Reed was an astounding 46% passing.

They basically spiritually channeled USC’s 2024 game plan and hunted explosives on every single play. Half hit. Half didn’t.

He should probably stay off social media today, all he’ll see is himself getting smoked.

You can’t fix his issues. Too slow, way too slow

Yeah his family loves ND but he just got abused in the biggest game of this Saturday, then had the easiest pick to seal the game and dropped it.

He should start the transfer process as he’ll never recover at ND from the game. Two big games in a row he’s been abused

We had a fair amount of run stuffs too, problem was that 1 out of every 3 plays was an easy first down chunk play

Or just stay at ND. If he's playing it's because he's what we have there

Well, we also have an injured veteran and freshmen with more talent who will probably overtake him soon.
I’m not a big fan of midseason transfers but Hobbs can’t play at this level. If he wants to transfer somewhere he can, he might as well preserve a year of eligibility and go before he’s played in five games.

Edit: I didn’t realize Jaden Mickey was now at Boise State. Maybe we could propose a trade when they come to play us?

He should preserve his eligibility because ND needs to bench him, recruit over him, and play a frosh that actually has potential even if he struggles.

But that’s the thing he is fast. He is a legit 4.4 guy. Gray is fast as well he ran 10.6 100 meters in high school. But for whatever reason it does not translate on the football field for those two.

Probably because poor defensive coaching. They are confused and not always sure where they need to be. Thinking instead of reacting.
