Same. Can’t remember who the last player was that I was this excited to see play.

Qb? Probably Clausen junior year
Player? literally last year waiting on Love again lol.
And I wasn't let down
I'd throw in an honorable mention for Everett Golson in 2013 before the suspension. My hopes were sky high coming off of the national title appearance after his true freshman year. Clausen '09 and Quinn '06 are two others that come to mind for QBs.

I think it’s going to take some time for some people to realize, but I think Love is the best running back in the modern era of Notre Dame football.
For sure the best since.... who? The Bus? Was a lot of fun to watch him the last couple years.

Strong argument that you could rank Love and Williams one and two, ever at ND.
This is one reason why I'm not aligned with the beat w/r/t this year's backs. If Nolan James or Aneyas Williams actually are Kyren (a frequent comparison for both), then the RB room this year is more than enough to make a deep playoff push. Kyren isn't Love, nor is he as dynamic as Price, but he would absolutely have carved out a role as pass protector and pass catcher with more than enough in his runs to be RB2.

Woah. I love Kyren, but over Autry Denson, the Bus, Allen Pinckett, Julius Jones, Vagas Ferguson, etc? He had less rushing yards than Cierre Wood in his career. (Kyren is better, but just saying).
