Ideally, you wouldn’t break out your freshman QB with a min left in the 3rd, with your backs against your own end zone, in a surprisingly energetic and hostile ND crowd environment.

That was just an awful call by Dabo to put him in for 2 plays then yank him. Absolute confidence shattering going forward.

Even if they win their region they'd have to play one of Dakota, Chippewa Valley, Cass Tech, Romeo, etc in the semi-finals. Not to mention Clarkston in their region plus Belleville like you mentioned. That's a tough road to Ford Field, even with CJ Carr.

I think the real best case is he is the next Trevor Lawrence and is so good, he has to start as a true freshman.
